BPARTY- HELP/Vent

so my girls are taking me to jamaica for my bparty--i m so excited, they totally came through - i wanted to go somehwere warm, since its january, somewhere to just relax with the girls and boy did they come through

anyway, my moms a pretty young mom, shes under 50 and weve always been totally close---originally when i found out about jamaica i asked her if she wanted to come- she said no, she cant keep up with 9 girls at night, and that was that

afterward i realized its probably better off, dont want anyone to be uncomforatlbe and i just want to have a good timee

well-- yesterday she texts me that she wants to come-- and now its like, i love my mother to pieces, and i cant tell her no- but part of me feels like maybe she shouldnt come to jamaica with 10 girls under 25?

wha tdo i do? am i overreacting??

I AM IN THE SAME EXACT BOAT!!!!

My mother was so offended when i said something to her about not coming.
Here is what i plan to do.. my cousins are in the bp too, so i figure i will ask my aunt to come along? That way when we go out and get our groove on , they have each other?

I would gently explain to her that you were hoping you two could do a separate mother daughter thing since you'd rather spend quality time with her. I understand that she's a cool mom but honestly, I would feel SO weird partying it up in Jamaica with someone's mom.

eek yea that s ucks...Thankfully my mother told me that she doesnt want to come to my bparty cause shes young too and can be a party animal and i dunno if i feel like dealing with that.

I agree and would say that you'd rather do something else with her, and that your girls planned this for you so you don't want to invite someone that they may not feel comfortable partying with..i mean they are spending alot of money for it

Sorry you have to be in this position!

IMO I would just say let her come. There is no one more annoying to argue with than your own mother. Sorry.

i agree.. if she wants to come, and you sound super close, let her come..

if she can't keep up, she'll stay at the hotel when you go out..

I think her bringing someone a long with her, a friend or sister would be a great idea.

She probably just wants to go to Jamaica, can you blame her? That way you can have luncha nd hit the beachw ith her during the day and she can chill with her pal at night while you party it up.
You can make it work without people feeling too weird I think. Besides, if your mom's that cool, then it's not going to be sucha big deal. My sister has that kind of relationship with her daughter and I could SO see her hitting up the bparty.

I think my mom would understand if I told her I wanted it to be just us bridesmaidy bachlorette girls....??

Re: BPARTY- HELP/Vent

I think there are 2 options.

- If you are super close she would understand if you say that you think it would be better off if she didn't come considering its all your friends/fam that are younger and you don't want them having to contain themselves because she is there.

OR

- Let her come with a close aunt maybe? This way the day can be enjoyed with everyone and at night you can seperate! If I was doing something like that I would tell my mom 2 bring her sisters if she did want to go. Enjoy the fun of the day and a night maybe and the crazy party nights plan something special for her?

EEEEk

Good Luck
