Bra or Cups?

Bra or Cups?

Well my dress is finally in
The woman asked me if I want cups or am I going to wear a strapless or long-line bra. I'm looking for comfort and for something that will make my chest look bigger then it really is haha...

Should i go with cups?

I think it depends on what makes you comfortable. I was going to go w/ just cups until I went for my fitting and realized that my dress worked better with something that gave me a little lift. My bridal place sells the bras, so I just purchased it while I was there. I think you should put that gown on again and then decide..

I would go for a long line bra....check out my family's store, Mary's Corsettiere in Woodbury they will custom make a bra to give you mega-boobies They're closed for summer at the moment but will reopen August 14th (Open Tuesdays - Fridays until Labor Day then they add Saturdays).

I would say try it on again with a strapless bra and see how you like it, maybe they have another dress with cups already inside so you should try it on as well to see the difference.

Also long line bras give you a nice shape because it helps define your waist and all.

i was going to go with cups but the woman at my bridal salon talked me out of it. she said that a bra gives you a much nicer shape and lift and ultimately looks better with the dress (i have a strapless and i'm not that big up top). i guess it all depends, but i'd try the dress on with cups and a bra before making the decision.

I don't have my wedding dress yet but I just had cups put into a bridesmaid dress that I wore so you couldn't see any bra lines. Just something to think about!

Re: Bra or Cups?

it's totally a personel choice & what makes you feel the most comfortable....i already had a stiff strapless top(kinda corset like) so i DID NOT want a strapless bra for my wedding day OR a long line strapless...i also didn't wanna be yanking up my bra all night (which i would've done)...my seamstress worked majic & sewed TWO pairs of cups in, and then took one cup, cut it in half(making two moon shapes) and sewed each half in as well making it a MAJOR push up 'dress' lol...(so i had 2 1/2 sets of cups sewen in) Needless to say , 'the girls' looked fabulous & i am DEFINETLY on the smaller side in that region lol. worked like a charm - in fact on our wedding video you hear my hubby up on the altar say 'I like your boobs' LOL talk to ur seamstress - see what she can do!

i don't know what type of shape you have - but long line bras hold in things that you don't want 'a poppin' on the day of.. I put a long line bra on and felt like i actually had a figure...definitely dug it.

I went with cups BUT wish i'd done BOTH because while Iw as dancing, the strap holding me into the dress was a little losoer than I'd have liked-guess i lost weight before the wedding- and when i shimmied...MY DRESS FELL DOWN! LEFT BOOB POPPED OUT! MIND YOU I ahve them pierced so although my horror was enormous, the look on the face of our family friends, DOCTOR AND PRIEST was greater I think..just a wee bit

Moral of the story? If you are part of the itty bitty titty committie like me, make sure you have those suckers on TIGHT and go for a bra with the cups for some extra support.

sorry you had to experience that, but at least you have a great story to tell!

If you're a small chested girl, I'd really just go with cups, unless you want the boobs to actually be pushed UP.

Larger boobs require more support, but for us smaller-on-top ladies, cups are much easier, and I find them much more comfortable.

I can't stand strapless bras, I find them to be totally uncomfortable, so I'm just putting cups in and calling it a day. Most important thing, afterall, is to be comfortable! You don't want to spend your wedding day pulling at your bra!
