We met with LI sound last night and LOVED them. Their prices are slightly higher than we thought, but I heard you can talk them down. Any ladies have luck with that?

I absolutely loved LI Sound! Saw them at a showcase at our RH and they blew me away with their performance. I don't think you could go wrong with whomever you choose as your DJ or MC (we got to see each one perform). When we went in to meet with them, we worked with Scott and really liked him a lot - he got what we want from them and we actually booked him as our MC.
As far as talking down pricing, they are flexible and will look to get you a discount wherever they can. I actually won a $200 off coupon at the showcase so I was able to get a discount with that. The only thing that they are not able to discount on is the musicians (like steel drummer, percussionist, string quartet, etc) because those are outside vendors they work with and their pricing is a set price.

I, personally, don't think the two compare, Bravura all the way.
We booked bc of their professionalism, their class, their available options and the talent. I've seen them both at showcases and Bravura had no competition.

This. We met with both. Went with Bravura and couldn't be happier. LIS showed us video of their MCs at a Sweet Sixteen at Land's End, and our meeting pretty much ended there. People loved Bravura at our wedding and more than a few guests asked where we found them. They are a class act.

I agree with Jamie, the two don't even compare. IMO- but the fact is, they don't because I don't believe LI sound has the option of live music? I could be wrong on that one.
I used LI sound for my engagement party, and i was beyond disappointed. I did go to 2 weddings where they played and were fantastic.. so don't go by my e-party mishap.
But I have been to 2 weddings that booked w/ bravura and it was consistently amazingggggg.
Paul is fantastic, one MC is better than the next... their live music is phenomenal.. they are UNBELIEVABLE

I perer LI Sound over Bravura. They have live musicians for LI SOund. Their precussionist is the drummer for the Blue Oyster Cult. I was blown away by their show roon, their professionalism and how they work a wedding. The wedding we went to where they were the dj/mc was AMAZING dance floor was packed all nght. Ive seen Bravura at showcases and wasnt too impressed.. But its all a matter of opinion.

We looked at both too, and ended up booking LI Sound...they both have different styles and IMO are geared toward different age groups..we liked Bravura but felt their style wasn't exactly what we wanted..FH really wanted a dj and we felt LI Sound fitted more of wanted;

Go with Li Sound. We've seen them at many weddings, the last one at Giorgio's with MC Scott and DJ Rusti. My husband and I are going to make an appointment with them soon. Good luck.

It depends on what type of affair you want. Both offer live musicians. However, I found LI Sound to not be what we were looking for. Bravura saw our vision without having to be told - elegant, classy, sophisticated type of affair. We booked Bravura without hesitation!

Bravura. I don't know much about LI Sound, but I do know that Bravura is awesome. They just 'get' it.
They're very professional also, which is prob the main reason we booked w/them.
