Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa in Garden City. Ask for Raquel. She is the best. Its expensive but its extremely clean and sanitary (each client get fresh wax that is discarded afterwards). They also use a thicker wax. its applied, hardens, and peeled off without strips... MUCH less painful.

the best wax you will ever get in your life!

it is owned by brazilians

they pull the actual wax off and do not use paper strips and use as little pulls as possible

my lady said she can do a full brazilian with only 3 pulls!!! i havent been that brave yet, but she is amazing!

ask for Bia if you go

It really depends on the person...for me i would say a 5 or 6, but I've been told that I have a high threshold for pain lol...I have friends who have said it was a 8 or 9 for them.
I used to go to Bliss when I worked in the city. Very pricy, but that is not an area I wanted to play around with. I would schedule it after work and hit up a happy hour before my appt...deff helped lmao. Aspirin before the appt works too..but happy hour was just more fun! As long as the person who's doing it has a quick hand, it's fine!
Also you might want to gradually lead up to the full brazillian, maybe start off with bikini for the first appt and then increase on later appts. Bliss had a wax they called the 'in-betweeny' that was between a bikini and a brazillian and was a good starting point for me when i first went and was super nervous about doing the brazillian. HTH!

ive had a lot of waxes and honestly the wax here hurt the least...one bc of the type of wax they use, two because they dont pull it off with paper
and three because they do larger amounts at one time

its the equivalent level of pain to have your eyebrows or lip waxed but like times 10 lol

its not horrible but its not pleasant either...its really quick and not as bad as you think

honestly the 'brazilian' part is not that bad, the va ja jay part and butt part does not hurt at allll imo, its the upper part like the frontal/pubic area that hurts the most which is what they wax in a standard bikini wax, so if you can handle that, the brazilian is cake lol
