Re: Brazilian Wax

Lizlen, i would try it... do you ever get regular wax? if not, then i would do that first, to see if you will get red and swollen, but that usually doesnt last long, i get swollen and red bumps sometimes too, on my eyes armpits, bikini, i just put ice on it and it goes away..

It seriously doesnt last long at all, i say go for it, even if it is just for your honeymoon!

Theresa you are such a lucky girl!! i shave in the monring and its like i have a 5:00 shadow later!! However i do shave everyday unless it is a special occasion, then ill spring for the wax.. i dont like having to grow it out!! EWWWW

Re: Brazilian Wax

I would like to try it, however I do not like pain.

I do not shave like Theresa, but I do use hair remover. I do this every two weeks.

I hear with waxing it lasts a long time.

If I get up the nerve I may do it.

Re: Brazilian Wax

Suzanne, I've actually done a regular bikini wax myself w/Nads, OUCH
Since then, I use a Panasonic battery operated shaver. I didnt like the pain of the bikini that's why I'm so scared, but of course I did it at home myself, I didnt know what the heck I was doing !!!

Re: Brazilian Wax

I know waxing last a long time b/c I do my underarms, now the hair barely grows back at all, and when it does, it's so thin

Girls don't be scard.....

I got surgery and found out afterwards I was allergic to ALL PAIN MEDICATION...

So if you can do that you can get a WAX!

Its a fast RIPPPPPPPP!!!

Re: Brazilian Wax

I don't know Theresa, as painful as the BZ sounds, I would be afraid of catching one of my 'parts' with the razor. One that I don't want to shave off!

Re: Brazilian Wax

Girls, I went to J. Sisters for about 5 months. Yes, they are good there, however, it was very painful and i had bad ingrowns, worse every time I went.
Then, on Wednesday I went to Bliss. I cannot even tell you how much better it was. There was no pain, (well not none) they use a different kind of wax which adheres only to the hair and not the skin.
I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER go back to J. Sisters again. I was also not irritated or sensitive afterwards, like when I went to J. Sisters.
It did take longer but IMO, so worth it. I used to sweat, flinch, yelp - at Bliss, it was almost, well, bliss in comparison.

Re: Brazilian Wax

I've gotten the brazilian wax done and it's NOTHING compared to a regular wax. You walk out of there bow-legged and feeling violated lol

All I can suggest is that you either have a drink beforehand or a xanax lol

Starhead, where is Bliss exactly?
