So....I am thinking about doing this for my wedding/honeymoon.
Does anyone on here know a good place in Nassau?
Is there anything I should do to prepare myself for this? (this would be the first time I have ever done it or any type of waxing in that area..lol)

I have sensitive skin. I am not blond but very light skin and well you should already know if you have sensitive skin. I usually get irrated skin with certain perfumes, lotions, etc, as a teen stridex burned my skin. Has any of this happened to you before?? Certain spa's use a special wax that is hypoallergenic (sp?) and made for sensitive skin that is another option for those who can't use regular wax.
I've never had that problem but I have heard about skin coming up when you wax and that makes me really nervous

I've gotten a regular bikini wax and my eyebrows and I usually get red maybe a few hours after I do it and then its fine. I'm so nervous if skin comes up b/c its an area that has never been waxed before

Re: Brazilian Wax
that's why if you can do it, go to Bliss. The wax they use is really the best there is for that area.

this might be tmi but who better to ask then all of u...whats the difference between a Brazilian and a semi-Brazilian ?
A Brazilian is all gone - a semi-Brazilian leaves a very tiny little strip.

Re: Brazilian Wax
I hear numbing creme works.
One of my BM's is a HUGE brazilian fan! She's explained details to me. I've had my bikini line done before but never a brazilian. I'm thinking about it though. But i wanna be medicated! ha ha ha.. I'm a baby I guess!

Re: Brazilian Wax
If you've never ad one before I would recommend going into the city and going to Bliss Spa. They have the Brazillian and the Betweeny (which is the same thing with just a little bit left there). It's the least painful I've EVER had.

the bliss i go to is in soho on broadway and prince...
I started years ago and now its almost nothing...the more you go the less grows back and the less painful it is...
I didn't go for a while and when I went two months ago it hurt....
I actually took a vicodin the first time because I was so scared

Re: Brazilian Wax
How long does the Brazilian from Bliss last?
This is kinda gross...but do you have to 'grow it out' before you go? lolol
If this is the first time getting it done should you do it at least week before the wedding or is a few days ok? Does your skin get irritated after?
Ohh soo many questions...

Re: Brazilian Wax
I've never had a problem with irritation before and am thinking of going either the day before or 2 days before my wedding. You do have to grow it out a bit - about 1/4 of an inch.

Re: Brazilian Wax
one tip I forgot to mention was that you should trim your hairs down a bit. It hurts way less if they are pulling longer hairs. (spoken from experiance )

I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for years with no problems, so I was a bit shocked when I lost skin during the bikini wax.

Re: Brazilian Wax
I go to Maria Bonita in the village. I get it done by Regina (DO NOT GO TO MARIA....i repeat do NOT go to MARIA!!!). Regina is awesome! Everyone there is brazilian. I've been to bliss and they are great too but they are more expensive. Maria Bonita is $50.
