Has anyone broken a contract with a RH less than a year before the wedding? Did you have to pay anything extra besides what was already paid? Is there any advice I need to do this as painless as possible?

Is your RH in the boroughs, nassau or suffolk? If its suffolk you can break with a minor penalty but anywhere else and it depends on the hall....they have the right to not let you break it and you are responsible to pay your contract.

it's in Nassau County. Wow, i had no idea each county had specific rules.
