I know that the breaking of the glass is something thats traditionally done at the end of the jewish wedding ceremony, but is this something that a rabbi requires to be done?
I understand that the breaking has meaning to some brides, but to me, it has none. Basically it's not something that I would do if I could have my 'perfect' wedding. Do you think that I should just do it for traditions sake or do you think I should only do things that I really 'feel'? I'm so confused on this issue

Re: Breaking of the Glass
The cantor for our wedding mentioned that we needed to get one. We are having an interfaith wedding, so I am not sure if its 'required' or not (he's Jewish, I'm Christian).
I would talk to your rabbi about it, see if its required or if its suggested.
