Still on the search.. visiting Patken and B rett M atthews this week...... I hate this part.
We have seen 6 photographers and I'm soooo confused. I prob. would have booked with Jovan but I am worried with all of the mixed reviews I keep hearing.

I am using Patken. Doug, Vinny, or Steve are good but Doug is more expensive. I was on a modern bride chat room and there were a few complaints about B rett M atthews on there. Unfortunatley, any vendor can screw up someones big day. Good luck, if you have any ? about Patken FM me.

I am using B rett M atthews and so far think they are great. I think they are very creative and that's the look I am going for. Check out Bethsair's pics from her wedding - she used them

I'm using B rett M atthews. Definitely bring up any 'mixed' or bad reviews you hear during your appointment. They will sit and discuss the situation with you and it's only fair to allow them to give their side of the story. The only bad review I really did see was the same one over and over again on every wedding board around - the St. Regis Bride. Rich more than happily explained away my worries about this and I am thrilled we were able to go with them. Definitely check out Bethsiar's pics - that's what convinced me to look at them.
I used BM...and the only big complaint I have is that I booked John and the day before they called and said he was sick. So they gave me Chris who was my backup and some other guy I never met. I was not happy that this happened the day before. Since I had met with John and not these other photographers I didnt get some of the photos I told them I wanted. The back up guy, who did the B&W's could have used more creativity. I also gave them 4 hours for pics...so we had plenty of time...I thought we should have used more of the grounds than we did and gotten all the photos we wanted.
I am not upset that John was sick...however they continue to book him for weddings and he continues to have to cancel b/c of his poor health. I feel bad for him, however we are paying a lot of money and they should be upfront about how John may not be able to fulfill the jobs he books.
