All the bump requests on the 09 board got me thinking that we should start our own beauty tip thread. I still have 319 days to go but never too soon to start!
I started my facial treatments 3 weeks ago, i bought a package at Mario Badescu (buy 5 get one free) and they recommended I go every 6 weeks. I do not break out often, but I want glowing skin!
I started Laser hair removal treatments under my arms, legs, and upper lip. You need to avoid the sun for a certain period of time so now is definitely the best time to start since I probably wont be able to go once April hits. After 1 treatment I am already seeing results!
I bought go smile and I started using the whitening treatments this week.
Every three weeks I am using a deep conditioning treatment on my hair since I am growing it out and i need it to be healthly!
Drinking less soda and more water. Joined Physique 57 to tone up.
Whew -- so... what are you guys doing to beautify yourselves before the wedding?

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
WOW! I'm saving all of these! I haven't even started yet I guess I'm behind. I was told for facial to come every 2-3 months and then when it gets closer (in like May I think) start to come once a month. I asked for teeth whitening for christmas and HOPEFULLY that works and I've been getting my hair done RELIGIOUSLY every 6 weeks so that I don't have HUGE roots and you can't tell the difference. Starting in January I'm gonig to start diet and excersice and getting my nails done EVERY week so that they don't break and chip throughout all the wedding stuff and then in April/May I'm going to get the forever french put on for the wedding. Sometimes I just wish I was a guy! HAHA!

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
I am hoping to start my facial regimen after the holidays.
Otherwise I am kind of lost. I keep up with things generally, hair, nails, working out, but I know I need to kick it way up a few notches. I feel like most things I can't do until I'm a bit closer, like teeth whitening / threading, etc.
What else should I be doing now?

I feel the same way. I kicked up my moisturizing. LOL. My friend's mom always says to us 'Moisturizing is the key to happiness' I am really bad at this and my skin is always so dry!

I've been doing the facials also. At home, I try to use a mask every other week.
I bought nailtiques for my brittle nails; seems to be working nicely.
I rarely drink anything other than water.
I've been keeping up with my proactiv.
I've bought teeth whitening toothpaste and plan to buy other whitening products.

Doing the teeth whitening thing.
Deep conditioning my hair once a week.
Using heavier moisturizer and eye cream(getting married in March and my skin gets real dry in Winter).

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
I started laser treatments (Apri's Spa) on my underarms and brazilian area and I am looking to add upper lip treatments as well. I've had ONE treatment and the results are amazing!
I'd like to do some teeth whitening soon; even though i don't drink even HALF the amount of coffee that I used to, my teeth are still stained.
I am doing my hair a favor and not doing the Japanese straightening anymore. I have only 2-3 inches left from the last time I did it in December of 2007. My hair is soooo much healthier now. It didn't react well to the straightening. I guess it just isn't good for some people!
I just started getting my nails wrapped again. So far, so good! I don't want to have any broken nasty nails on the day of!
I should visit the Dermatologist at some point. My skin is OK, but i'd like it to be BETTER.

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
Yikes! You girls are making me nervous. Starting in January I am going to start a diet because I gained some weight recently. Then I wasn't going to do anything until a month or so before the wedding... like teeth whitening and tanning. I am going to start taking vitamins for my hair so it can grow out thicker. That is pretty much it!

I made my first facial apt for next Friday - and I asked for a 'series' for Xmas, yay!
After the holidays I am going to really work on the diet. I mean, its 6 months out at this point!!

Rachel - are you going to be doing that group b-pics thing or just by yourself? If you're thinking about a group and need people please let me know

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
RAK - are you trying to lose or maintain? Allegra recommended I try bikram yoga to really define my muscle tone and I'm thinking about trying to find a studio in the city (if it isn't $$$). . .
I may look on LI too, but I only know of one place in RVC.
I'm not doing bpics, I don't know why, but FH really disliked the idea.

I agree. I moisturize my whole body every day after I shower and I moisture my face in the morning with a lotion with SPF and a deep moisturizing cream at night. Both are Olay.
That's about the only regular beauty treatment I have. I give you girls a lot of credit, but I don't have the patience to do all those other things.

The place in RVC has a place in Carle Place also. It's phenomenal!

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
Cappy-- I am looking to maintain (and maybe lose 2-3 lbs). I used to take yoga and loved it. I'd do one in the city or LI (I actually live in rvc but by the time i get home it is too late).
Linda- I haven't looked into B-pics too much yet, but i know some girls have done a group session and it is cheaper. I could be swayed either way solo or group.

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes
So funny, I was going to post this same question today.
- Started drinking water again b/c I hate it. I know it has no taste, but I hate the taste.
- been working out again. I had gotten into good shape last winter and early this year, but am back on track.
- probably get a good cleaning/whitening a few weeks before.
