Bridal Beauty Regimes

Original post by runnerbride1023

All the bump requests on the 09 board got me thinking that we should start our own beauty tip thread. I still have 319 days to go but never too soon to start!

I started my facial treatments 3 weeks ago, i bought a package at Mario Badescu (buy 5 get one free) and they recommended I go every 6 weeks. I do not break out often, but I want glowing skin!

I started Laser hair removal treatments under my arms, legs, and upper lip. You need to avoid the sun for a certain period of time so now is definitely the best time to start since I probably wont be able to go once April hits. After 1 treatment I am already seeing results!

I bought go smile and I started using the whitening treatments this week.

Every three weeks I am using a deep conditioning treatment on my hair since I am growing it out and i need it to be healthly!

Drinking less soda and more water. Joined Physique 57 to tone up.

Whew -- so... what are you guys doing to beautify yourselves before the wedding?

Ugh after reading this thread, I caved and looked into laser hair removal. I scheduled a consultation appointment at Ideal Image in Garden City.

AHHHH...this thread is making me soooo nervous!!

Rak...I'm getting married 2 weeks before you and you have already done so much!

So far the only thing I've done is rejoin weight watchers (only lost 4 lbs in 7 weeks though ). I keep saying I need to start facials and teeth whitening and nails and basically everything else hehe, but I just never get around to it. Maybe this thread will be the inspiration I need

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes

omg i really haven't thought about this

i gym 5-7x per week (and always have)

i follow a primal/paleo diet

i use prescription skin stuff and always moisturize!

i was thinking about getting crest white strips

i get my eyebrows threaded on a reg basis and will probably see an eyebrow shaping specialist a few months before the wedding (FM me if you want her details)

i've been getting my hair trimmed on a more regular basis to grow it out a lot

i take a multivitamin and omega-3s

is laser really necessary for the wedding?

ETA - i also plan on getting spray tan

RAK - are you trying to lose or maintain? Allegra recommended I try bikram yoga to really define my muscle tone and I'm thinking about trying to find a studio in the city (if it isn't $$$). . .

I may look on LI too, but I only know of one place in RVC.

I'm not doing bpics, I don't know why, but FH really disliked the idea.

Ahhh you can't tell them about it!!!! Mine would have been like NO FREAKIN WAY if I asked him beforehand!!! The first thing he said when he opened the album was 'Who took these pics?!???!' When I told him it was Mariann, our wedding photog, he was like, 'oh ok, WOW!!! They're amazing!!!'

Wow I'm not doing any of this!
Crest white strips and a razor should do me just fine!

Getting whitening trays/solution from my dentist

Restarting my normal workout regime (3-4X a week at Crunch) after touch football season is over and I'm not sore all week from that!

**Not to scare anyone but I got laser hair removal Brazilian bikini 2 years ago (6 treatments) and it completely grew back. Make sure you budget for touch-ups! **

I have not been doing anything..was going to start really working out in Jan..tanning come march..and i was thinking only 1 facial...but maybe i need more..

Asking for a facial package is a great idea for christmas!

Re: Bridal Beauty Regimes

I'm a little stressed out now as well. I swear by all of my Arbonne Products (masks, scrubs, moisturizers, etc) so I'm ok in that area...but I HAVE to start going to the gym and drinking more water. I should probably limit my coffee intake as well, and watching what I eat. Teeth Whitening is on my list as well. Ugh,,,not easy being a bride...ha! How do I get WILLPOWER????

DId the whole laser thing..works great, have a few more treatments left for maintenance.

Teeth whitening 2 months before wedding... doing a fast jam, did the trays and cannot stand the taste...

Moisturize a lot.

Deep conditioning once a week
Switched to a better, moisturizing shampoo as well
Eating less red meat
Eating more veggies, less sweets
Re-joined WW
Taking vitamins
Hired personal trainer for initial 2 sessions, Will start toning this week
Intend to re-start 30 Day Shred as well
