So my theme is very whimsical, garden-y.... and I found these 2 plain blue birds at Target & instantly got a cute idea to decorate them like us for decorations at the wedding!
They are too big to be a cake topper (& I've already made ours haha).... but anyway... I figure I can put them on the sweetheart table or where the guestbook tree will be!
The girl bird has a daisy bird cage veil & ruby slippers like me! My fiance' is NOT wearing a top hat, but I felt the boy bird needed a little something extra!
Just wanted to share them with you because I'm so happy with how they came out!
love them! i had to reread what you write twice before i realized you MADE their accessories - at first I thought you just bought them like that, they look so pro! i think they would be really cute by the guestbook tree

Are you doing a bird cage for your cards?! Put them with that! I just got my bird cage in the mail today from save-on-crafts.com :)

Haha thank you! Yes, I made their accessories! They were just plain blue birds! I wanted them to look like my fiance' & I, right down to the ruby slippers!

That's so funny, my friend just sent me a link to that website today! I'll have to take a look at it!
My fiance' is actually building a big bird (haha not the big yellow bird! ) house card box for the cards... like the one on Etsy, but not for $150 and we get to personalize it how we want it to look! It's coming out great, I'll post a picture of it when he's done. I am having bird houses that I found at the Christmas tree shop & painted, metal watering cans & bird cages (filled with flowers), lanterns & other fun garden-type things as centerpieces for the tables. We are also using mini bird houses that I painted as our table numbers. And then like I said, we are doing the finger print guestbook tree! We sound bird obsessed.... haha but all of this fun Spring stuff just fit right into the look & feel we were going for!
