Bridal Boudoir Session?

Any of you here considering taking some boudoir pics before the wedding? If you are why or why not? Any thought from experienced boudoir brides? Please share! TIA!!

I've seen a lot of people on here have used Blue Daisy for the boudouis pics. I'm thinking about doing it. My FH would love it but i'm shy so I don't know if I would have enough courage to actually take the pics LOL. I won't feel comfortable, but i'm seriously considering it.

Do a search on here, (Boudior) in title...you'll find more feedback.

honestly, some i've seen on here are really great..but i don't see the point of them. it's not like you'll frame them and put them in your house or anything. nor can i picture myself posing for anyone besides my FH. I'd rather just do diy boudior with my FH

FH fancies himself a photographer and would love to do something like that...I was originally dead set against it, but now I'm warming up to the idea once we're in our own house. I'm incredibly awkward in pictures, I'm freaking at the thought of taking our WEDDING pictures and looking awful, so I can't even imagine posing for these kind of pictures.

not every pic is showing you in a bra and underwear or too much skin. There are pics you can frame from your boudoir session.
its also not just a gift for your FH but a nice gift for yourself. Ive said it before but ive seen women of all shapes and sizes doing these and they all looked amazing, some said how it helped their confidence. Its a way to realize how sexy you are, some women can forget, and have a day for yourself where you feel like a sex goddess hahaha and then seeing the pics and thinking to yourself 'wow didnt know i could look like that'

here are pics where they do close ups of your face and you can frame, these are just a few examples but many have pics like this

for this one its obviously the pic to the right, it just saves together

I like that idea...you're right..why pay the $$ for it..not like we're gonna frame them and hang them in the living room!!

I'm all for taking these pics..just in my own house with my own private photographer

I am taking them, as they are as much a present for myself as for FH... they are not cheap, but if you have the $ in your budget you might want to consider it! You can also do your own pics. Perhaps you have a friend or a sister who is skilled with a camera?

A lot of the b-pic artists also do pics for women who are pregnant. I think that is also a great idea.

if your fh is good with taking pics then yea, with my dh forget it i dont even want to think about how they would look if he took the pics

i was actually thinking of dh and I doing a boudoir session together, a couple boudoir session for our 1 year anniversary. Still not sure yet but have considered it. WE both have to get back in shape though haha

I did them (pics in my album) with Blue Daisy. MY husband loved it and said it was the best present he ever got.

Re: Bridal Boudoir Session?

My best friend used Mariann at Blue Daisy this summer. She was so nervous she didn't even tell me about it until after she'd already done it. She said Mariann was so great and easy going. None of the pics are sleazy of distasteful. She took pics in the lingerie she planned to wear on her wedding night, in his favorite business shirt, in his favorite outfit of hers, etc.

I gave him her album (she printed it on snapfish) as her gift to him while he was getting ready and recorded his response while he opened it. He is Mr. Conservative and absolutely LOVED it. After he looked through it twice..he promptly hid it so no one else would find it!! LOL

Hope this helps...

Re: Bridal Boudoir Session?

I've been thinking about doing it...but the thing that gets to me is that the album is just going to have to stay hidden bc it's so personal...it's not like your going to be showing it to anyone besides your husband...and what if you have kids, and they find it? lol. How awkward would that be!

I'm also a super shy person when it comes to things like this so I feel like I wouldn't be able to relax while i'm taking the pics...

another option if you don't want to do it with a photographer would be to whip out a polaroid camera and have some fun with your husband!

...or maybe do both!

you are right, you arent going to hang them up or display them BUT just the experience was worth it - at least for me it was.....i was super nervous but had the best time taking the pics - i felt like a superstar after - and my FH loved them... the gift was meant for him but i think it was more a gift for myself hahaha i would do it again in a heartbeat
