I never heard of white bo-ks being 'the rule.' I think some color is needed in the bo-k so it will not blend in with the dress. That's JMO. I would show your FMIL one of the many threads on here where we post our bo-Ks and she will see how common it is to have some color!

Your mother in law to be is insane. So many people are carrying colored flowers now! Mine was all red! The contrast is great in pictures.

Have the flowers that you cant with a color that you love. I was thinking of having purple roses with white and stephanotis.
