Ok ladies, i'm going to be booking my florist this month and i'm torn between the shape i want my bridal bouquet. growing up, i always wanted a cascade, but is this too outdated? i never see them anymore. i saw some beautiful shadow boxes with cascading bouquets that looked amazing preserved. i saw some pretty round ones, but i'm just not sold.
what are you ladies going with? any pics? i have some in my flowers album. Or are you using some other shape completely?
i'm just not sure!

I think its totally up to you...I dont think a cascade will look dated if thats what you want to do. I personally like the look of the round ones, and I love the first one in your album. There will most definitely be feathers in my bouquet.

OHH good ques - my mom is totally on my case about this. She doesnt like the round one's but the bok i have had in my head is indeed round:
But then I found this one and its not really a cascade type but it has that feel and I really love it:

Re: Bridal Bouquet Shape
woohoo crescents! mine is white garden roses - to match the roses on the dress, and loooots of white orchids going off to one side, i guess it could be consider a cascade but it's going to go off to the side of my dress that doesn't have the crazy embellishment, i want to be able to off set the dress and hair...
so picture this, bottom left of my dress where the skirt starts near my hip is a decorative rose, my hair will also be flowing to that side so the bunch of flowers will go over to the right... and then you can still see my ring
teehee, hth!!!

Im doing round. I'm going to do hydrangea bok, so it really lends itself to a round shape

I love a huge round bq...
Oh by the way, the shoes you have on in your bpics with the rhinestones on the sole and the heel are so hot.....I HAVE THE SAME ONES IN GOLD. I got them from Sandy shoes in massapequa. Great minds think alike.

i see so many beautiful pictures of both that i just don't know. If i do a cascade bouquet, do my BM's need to have mini cascade bouquets too? or can theirs be round?

My girls are going to have a cute little bunch, so it will probably lead itself to be round... def not worried about matching them at all :)

Re: Bridal Bouquet Shape
I def want round
I did see the one brides cascade on BHB and it was beautiful, but for the most part I am not a fan.. I just went to a wedding where the bride had a cascading bouquet in white and with some green and it looked totally 80's to me!! I remember my Aunt whose wedding was 15 years ago, and she had a similar bouquet with a long sleeve dress and puffy shoulder pads lol

Re: Bridal Bouquet Shape
that's what i meant about it looking dated. i see a lot of pics from wedding in the 80's and 90's with a cascade bok and then it switched over to a round. i really like the cascade so i have to see what the florist can pull together for me
