Bridal boutiques in Brooklyn

Hi everyone,

I want to start looking for a gown for the wedding but I have no clue where to start. I'm not good at picking out a style that I like AND that will actually look decent on me. I live in Brooklyn and have heard that there are really good boutiques here but no specifics (name, location, etc). Have any of you shopped in Brooklyn for your dress??

I want to go to a place that is reasonably priced and that can help me pick out what will look good on me. Any info or advice on picking out the right dress would be really helpful...thanks!

I've been to a few places in Brooklyn. Lotus on Ave U and E 18th is reasonably priced. Monica's Bridal is a little higher for the same stuff and people are very rude (don't recommend it). I bought mine at Artemedia (Sheepshead Bay and E 14th), its a little more upscale as far as service and quality, but the woman is really great and she will work with you until you're happy. She didn't rush me told me to come back think it over and she was honest about which dresses suit my body and which didn't.

Try Valentina's on New Utrecht Ave and 77th St...I think they just expanded and I have heard good things about them. I haven't been there yet but I am dying to check it out.

I got my dress at Artemida Bridal (FM me for info - I need to look it up). The owner is so helpful! She even came to the store to help me put on the dress correctly on the day of the trial. She also lent me jewelry because it was too late to find anything on the day of the trial.

I HATED Maid To Order on 18th Avenue -- REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE
They promised to have the bridesmaids' dresses on a certain day, then would not have them until 2 weeks later (yesterday they came in and my wedding is next week). During the 2 weeks, it was impossible to reach them because they don't pick up the phone. They also don't return messages and the mailbox is full, anyway.

If you get the chance please go to:
Kelly's Kreations 7217 18th Avenue

I've been going to Kelly's for over 10 years for evening wear. It's a family owned business and they really take care of you.

2. Alissa's 888 E 59th Street

3. Lestan's 1909 Flatlands Avenue

My experience with them was horrible. Their customer service is the worst. But, that was just my dealings with them. It might be different for you.

If you are looking for BM dresses try Maid to Order 1730 86th Street

I got my dress from them and they are great to work with.. I ordered my dress in may and they told me it would be in the last week of august and it was.. my mother procrastinated and never got a dress we went there to buy her one off the rack and it was a little too small and they ordered her a brand new one and it was in a week later.. their customer service is excellent and they do beautiful work... they made the wedding dress process sooo comfortable and easy for me and my mom.. I highly recommend them

Valentina's is great and so is Doris Fashions on 18th Avenue and 68th Street. Been to both, but it seems that Doris has better prices. If you go ask for Maria to be your salesgirl and Josephine to be your seamstress.

Heard mixed reviews about Kelly's Kreations so be careful about going there.

Good Luck!

I loved Lotus Bridal. Wendy helped me and she was great. Also, my dress was $200 less there than it was at Bridal Reflections.

Definitely check out Doris fashion on 18th Ave, Maria is great to work with and she will try to get you the best price possible. i got my BM's dresses from and my mother's dress.
