Bridal Color Help

Hi ladies,

I need your opinions. So my FH really loves the color purple and tells me that he wants a purple cumberbund/vest and tie for his tux at the wedding. I tell him that he doesn't get to choose the colors and he needs to match whatever color I pick for my girls. We argue about this all the time. I know he won't budge on this.

My questions:
1) Did any FHs insist on a certain color and what did you do?
2) If I compromise with him, are there other BM dress colors I can have that match with a dark purple. (blue-based not eggplant)

I don't want the girls and guys to clash in the pictures. The party is relatively small: 3 girls, 3 guys.

I thought usually the GM matched the BM... but that the groom wore all white (tie, vest, shirt) or black & white...

Ultimately my fh let me pick the color that I wanted, but he said that he would have appreciated it if I hadn't picked a girly color like pink. I ended up going with red, we are both happy with it.

Thanks ladies. I'm trying to compromise with him but he wants this stupid purple and he's more stubborn than I am. haha

I'm not sure yet. I wouldn't mind eggplant (he doesn't want that), or lilac, or maybe Euro Red.

so go w/ lilac... then you can match the vests.. and imo april is the perfect time for that kind of color.

I guess Lilac won't clash with dark purple.

Lilac is a great color especially in the Spring. Pastels colors....
And what a great day you chose to get married.
On your wedding day, it will be my First Year Anniversary

There's a chance that might move into May, but for now, where sort of date twins. :)
