Re: Bridal Couture
I got my dress there and I LOVED them! The dress was gorgeous, the women were always very sweet to me, and my alterations were perfect. And it was the least expensive dress I tried on!!
I was there to witness some negative experiences other people had - but I got the feeling it was more the customer behaving badly than the staff

Re: Bridal Couture
I have read some bad reviews on this website, but have (so far) had a great experience with them...don't let bad reviews on this website bring you down... I love my dress and am going for my second fitting next week.

Oh i'm not, just like to get some feedback. There are some wedding shops that people rave about on here that I had horrible experiences with so it's everyones taste I love the Bridal Couture though

Re: Bridal Couture
My mom had an awful experience with them. I know a lot of other people who had the same type of experience there. I was told that the salon were I got my bm dresses was bad, but to me they were fantastic, so I guess it is just a c r a p shoot.

Um, I didn't have a bad experience per say, the woman I worked with was extremely helpful, I just didn't agree with some of their selling practices, so I did not purchase my gown there.

I think that is the nicest way to descirbe what happened to me there- it wasn't horrible it just wasn't what I expected from a place on the miracle mile with the word couture in the name

Re: Bridal Couture
I guess everyone has good and bad experiences wherever you go. Two other bridal salons that I went to i had horrible experiences i was so turned off. I haven't had any problems with Bridal Couture, they all seem so helpful, everytime I call they've gone so out of the way for me so i can't say anything bad

Re: Bridal Couture
They were very polite there, however, when I asked who the designer was on one of the dresses, they said it is against the designer's policy to reveal that unitl you purchase the dress. Then I asked about another one and she told me some name but she was being very vague and you could tell she really didn't want to tell me. A real turn-off. The gowns were too expensive for me there so I wouldn't have ended up purchasing there anyway, but I figured I would try on a lot of different price ranged gowns, just to see what's out there. I would have been hesitant to purchase there because of what happened.

Re: Bridal Couture
When I went there for my gown they wouldn't reveal the designer until after I purchased it, I didn't mind it though, but did think it was odd! I think its just their policy and an agreement that they have with their designers!

What designer would not want credit for their gown? They don't want brides going elsewhere to find the dress for less, so it's their policy for not revealing the designer.
Most of the time, they rip tags out, which in itself is a shady practice because it's illegal to do so. There was a whole thread on this a while back, I had posted about my experience there, which lead to a whole discussion on it.
CKJ - I got my gown at Bridal Reflections, which ironically, doesn't have the best track record either, yet I have had no problems with them yet. You are exactly right, people's experiences vary greatly, so you go with your gut and you won't be wrong.

Re: Bridal Couture
they tried to force me to buy the sample- it was really weird- it was all about price
She wouldn't let me try on a $7,000 dress b/c I orginally said I wanted to spend $4,000 or less- believe me if I told my Dad I had to have the dress, I would get it
it started out bad- she asked me why my Mom wasn't with me- she had passed away 3 months earlier- looking back we ( me and my BM) agreed that's when we should have left! ( no one else has said that to me since- she was the only one)

Re: Bridal Couture
hmmm --i have always heard not so good things about them --i decided to go anyway and see for myself since my mom's friend's daughter was getting her dress there...well, it was a day when they had a trunk show --the designer would basically make any dress i wanted so he was trying to describe something to me and he told the saleswoman at BC to pull out a dress --it was my mom's friend's daughter's dress!!!! they pulled out her actual gown - they didn't know we knew her.
after that, they literally harrassed me for months --asking me to come back in, etc, etc.

When i went to the wedding salon they wouldn't tell me who the designer was, so at Bridal Couture i just thought this was the 'bridal rules' that and no pictures haha
Anyways, any place that you have a bad experience with is going to turn you off totally and every little thing is going to bother you. I've checked out so many bands, and florists and i still get calls from the different companys asking me if i made my decision....it's just that type of business, it's EVERYWHERE you go not just one place!
