Bridal Division of **************

**************

Has anyone been to their presentation???

Okay I guess I can't say their name.
Let me describe the situation then:

FH and I attended expo at Millerage Cottage earlier this week. Filled out tons of forms, okay maybe 3, but it felt like a lot. Anyway, after hanging around all night long and winning NOTHING, we left feeling all sorts of dejected. Then I get a phone call Wednesday that we were selected to participate in a demonstration of a new way of cooking. It's greaseless, healthy, etc. Well we went last night to some hotel in Westbury for the presentation. Has anyone else been to this?

Ive gotten so many calls about things like this...They are all scams...You have to sit thorugh a presentation purchase thousands of dollars worth of pots and then you are eligible for a three night vacation at a sleazy motel....

Not worth wasting your time on it

Not only did we go last night but we bought the 7 piece set!!! We wanted to add other pieces but they talked us out of it. As for the vacations, yeah it's only a short one but with the wedding saving plan I have us on, we're going to need to get out of Dodge for a few days between now and 2/13/10!! We're only going to register on line with this company and for our honeymoon with a travel agent. I don't care if people just buy a serving utensil or a slotted spoon. I know how much this stuff costs (they will get the discount we get) and any additional pieces would be greatly appreciated. I love their 50 year warranty. I told the guy I was going to will the pots and pans to someone like Jets season tix.

didn't know anyone had a warranty other than 1 year, 3 years or lifetime.

loll i duno. but i dont like keeping the same things for more than 2-3 yrs.

dish towels, bath towels.. they all go in the trash after a year

pots and pans, im on my 2nd set in 3 yrs.

fh likes to scrape every last bit of food off the pots with his fork.

lifetime..with the same pots? bleh..

u never know..they COULD be truly amazing.

when u having us over for dinner kim? i wanna knwo what pasta tastes like after being cooked in 1600$ pots n pans.

i did go to one of these type of presetnations too. i LOVE the idea of it...but they were pretty pushy, like 'buy now. discount is only good for today!' i wanted time to think about it, do research, etc. they said no. i asked if i bought it, could they give me 24 hours to change my mind (which i find totally reasonable, since they probably couldnt even process the paper work in 24 hours), but they said no.

so FH and I walked out.

i do like the idea of it though - healthy cooking and stuff. but all they cooked for us was VEGETABLES!! like...anyone can cook vegatable. show me something more!!

anyway, sorry to tell you this, but if you do google it, there are other companies out there that offer the same thing for a lot less $

Actually $1600 is probably pretty good, the demonstration we went to was $3500!!!! and i was thinkin about it!!

LOL....anyway, let me know when you get it and try it out. FM me with teh details. i need to know if it works. especially the STACKED cooking!!

THANKS!

i gotta back kimberly up right now....

i went to this too, and we got the 10 piece set for 1900.....they are AMAZINGGGGG and i cant wait to cook with them!!!

i will NEVER have to buy pots and pans again....u would really only believe it if u go to a presentation.....i cant even begin to describe how great they are, health benefits, cooking benefits, energy saving, money saving....the list goes on...they're sick!

AND we get a 3 day 2 night hotel stay in a ramada or marriot in any of 20 locations...since were goin to disney, were gonna put it towards our stay in disney...

AND since we purchased that day, we got a free cruise to the bahamas....

so not for nothing....but it was great, not a scam, and totally worth it!

p.s.- i think we were only 1 of 2 couples out of about 9 couples that purchased, and everyone got their 3 day 2 night hotel stay...so they werent scammed

ETA: we got ours yesterday....one perk is how fast the water boils, cuts cooking time down so much cuz of how it holds the heat, and a full pot of cold water boiled in 3 minutes...they work great...we're not cooking w/them til we're married though

but what's so different about them as opposed to another pot or pan? NOTHING!

I can't say a pan is going to make my food healthier...the way I cook is going to make it healthier.

i just think it's the biggest BS thing ever. Sorry girls

I'm sorry but I have to agree with Alyssa...it sounds like a good sell...but there can't be such a huge difference that it's worth that amount od money....make sure you really look at the guarantee....

google waterless, greasless cooking and see what comes up. there are a few companies out there that offer pots/pans. its actually a cool concept. never seen it really WORK in person before (aside from vegetables, whatever). but i would be tempted to buy this too.

i remember one company had a video on their website. it explains it all.
