I know I have seen the thread but am too lazy to look for it....
now that I am officially going dress shopping on Friday, I guess I should figure out a price range I am looking for....
what is the typical price range....what did you guys spend??
totallyyyyyyyyy don't mean to offend anyone by asking but I just wanted a general idea.....
I don't even need exact figures, so a range, like $599-$999 is totally fine....
I really like Demetrios and Maggies and just don't want to go too high or low with a price range that I give.......

3200 up....
maggies and demetrios gown you can spend 1.5 k and get a beautiful gown..... most for those designers are within 1-2k some even less

hmmmmmmmm I wonder what I tell them!! I don't really have a max, of course im not spending 10k, i just want to LOVE it...I think I am going to not look at the price tags for the 'it' one when I do find it....

be careful when you do that.
i tried on a gown that was GORGEOUS!!! then i found out it was over 3K i know for some thats not to much for the dress of your dreams but for me no way was i going to do that. plus i know fh would have killed me.
after that experince i made sure to let them know what my max was.

ummm i dont recommend that!! what if you fall in love with a dress and its like 15k and you find out after youve just fallen in love with it????!!!
i think you should set and absolute max and tell the sales consultant to not go over it and bring you dresses within that range

I think it also depends on where you go. A lot of boutiques and ofcourse Kleinfelds over charges on gowns when you can just get the style number and find it somewhere else cheaper. I know a lot of people go to New Jersey to find there gowns because there supposedly cheaper ( prices not quality wise). Hope this helps! Good luck and if you need some info about shop in NJ fm me!

yeah you are right ladies, as always.....
I guess I will stick to what I feel is appropriate and what the max I am willing to spend is, whatever that may be. I will have to figure it out before Friday!!

I was so happy when I looked at the tag of the dress I fell in love with!!! FH had given me a $5k budget and the dress was $1500!!!! When I called him and told him it was like we had won the lottery!! LOL!

mine is a demetrios and it cost me $2200...I also got it customized though which was an extra $500
