Just wondering if anyone is using Phyllis at bridal elegance for alterations. I know they used to have a cap of $200 for alterations whether you bought the dress there or not. They changed it to no cap because it depends on how much work the dress needs. Just wondering if anyone has gone there and if the prices are reasonable. I bought my dress from a place that is not getting great reviews alterations wise and i'm panicking! Thanks!

Thank you, that makes me feel better! I don't think i'll need much work done either so i'm hoping it won't cost too much!

Re: Bridal Elegance Alterations?
My sister got her dress and the BM dresses their for her wedding last september. She charged an arm and a leg, and used hemming tape. all of the hems were falling apart and her bustle broke within an hour of the reception. I do NOT recommend her for alterations. I think she is sneaky and greedy. JMO

I went with my FSIL...I believe the sign said
Bridal alterations cap $400 Bridesmaids $90 (which I thought was high for bm's)

Re: Bridal Elegance Alterations?
I just reread and saw you already have an appointment.
I would def. get an estimate from her BUT see if you can get a feel for how busy she is at this time...I think that was where the problems started- those who got married earlier in the year in 2007 had much better experiences with her than those of us who got married later in the year (and around the 'peak' wedding time)
Since there are so many differing experiences you need to make your own decision.
