Bridal Elegance or The Wedding Center(Commack)

Hey Girls,

I have a delema, I LOVE the Jim Helm Dresses for my bridesmaids and MOHs. They are normally 279 and 269 which is way to expensive!!! The commack wedding center gave me a price of 225 and 235 but Bridal Elegance was much less expensive (208 and 216). The other bridal shops were about 10 bucks more then CWC but non of the girls will really use them for tailoring so I don't think it is that bad ordering from either one.

My problem is that Phylis (Bridal Elegance) is not a authorized dealer of Jim Hejlm and i know she does a much better job on alterations (if someone needs to use her) but i am afraid that the dresses will be counterfiet. Has anyone used her for this designer dresses? Help my wedding isn't until next march but I am afraid that one of the dresses will be discontinued!

i used phyllis for Bill Levkoff dresses and they were great. i would RUN from the wedding center in commack, they have a bad rep for dresses & alterations.

why not ask phyllis that the contract needs to state that the dresses will be authentic jim hjelm? if she doesn't want to do it, then i would consider going elsewhere...but my experience with bridal elegance was nothing but great

I would run not walk away from the Wedding Center in Commack if it is the one on Wicks Road, and I would FM SweetCin about her experience with Bridal Elegance and ordering dresses when she is not an authorized dealer.

why don't you try netbride.com if you are trying to save $$$- you can always have someone esle do alterations

I have heard great things about phylis (never had any experience w/ her myself though)....and pretty bad reviews about cwc

hopefully there isn't but ya never know! What is the worst that can happen? They pay full price up front and then the dresses never arrive?!?! Maybe I am just thinking too much into it.
