bridal emergency kit...

what goes into it? for the day of

I have made them in the past -- I usually walk up the travel aisle in target and get the following:

deodarant (spray)
tide stick
mouthwash
gum/mints
bandaids
tampons
clear nail polish
nail file
sewing kit
Tylenol
Motrin
Cold medicine

Things of that nature

Here is what I just sent my mom. I planned on having my own kit with most of the same things as the bathroom baskets, but i decide that my kit will only have the things guests don't really need (or things I am afraid I will need and the bathroom baskets will be out of!) -



Survival kit:

Water in bottles (3 should be enough)
Gatorade – 32 oz orange
Nail kit - emery board, clear nail polish, small scissors, nail polish I am wearing
earring backs (just a few extra in case I lose one)
deodorant
Small toothbrush / toothpaste kit
Corsage / bout. pins
Two sided tape and / or embroidery tape
white chalk (for covering up any marks on dress that I can't get out)
medicine kit: advil, tums, immodium advanced, acidopholus, gas-x, charcoal
hairspray - small
small sewing kit
a few tampons / pantyliners in case the ones in the women's room are all gone and i need one!
eye drops - again, in case the one in the women's room is swiped by someone and i need some drops.
Perfume I put on that day
Chapstick - carmex in tube
Hairbrush and comb

Makeup bag:
Pressed powder
Oil blotting sheets
Blush
Lipstick
Clear lip gloss
Eye liner
Mascara


And for the bathroom baskets:

women:
tampons / pantyliners, breath mints, hair spray, gum, deodorant (spray), advil, tissue packs?, nail file, clear nail polish, shout wipes, tums, bandaids, safety pins (small container), bobby pins (big sleeve), small container of hand lotion, listerine, a few elastic pony tail holers, floss, eye drops, lint roller, small sewing kit

Men:
tylenol, tums, breath mints, combs, bandaids, listerine, hair gel, floss, eye drops, lint roller

out of my entire kit, the only thing i used on the day of was straws! so i could drink out of bottles or cups without messing up my lipstick

Don't forget bobbypins for your hair..a few girls in the BP and I needed those.

And safety pins..just in case your bustle strings/buttons break or anything else.

Yeah...What she said!..LOL

If you wear contacts, extra contacts!!! I wouldn't have enjoyed my day like I did if I didn't have them. Makeup got on one, and just wouldn't go away...luckily, I just popped it out and put a new one in!

Qtips / sponges for quick makeup fixes...

i agree with the above but want to re-emphasize the Tide Stick, this saved my dress the night of from red wine and chocolate
