Just had to mention that one of the brides that won the $1000 said this came at such a good time. She just finished a chemo treatment which cost her 24K out of pocket and couldn't afford to purchase her handicapped mother a wheelchair. She is using the $1000 winnings to purchase mom her wheelchair. Brought tears to my eyes!

that is truly touching to hear! i thought you were going to say she put it towards her obviously mounting medical bills...but instead put it towards her mother! how sweet!

I just wanted all of you to know that I am the one that won the money and I am extremely greatful to hear such nice things being said. I am a firm believer that what goes around comes around. I am still a little short to get the wheelchair but this made a big dent and I am forever greatful!!

This wedding planning can sometimes makes it feel the whole world revolves around you.....then You hear about someone being of need. Thank you for sobering story.

The total cost for the electric wheelchair ( my mom is paralyzed from several strokes) is $2500.00. I am well on my way. This makes me feel so good!! I have always done things for everyone ( and loved every minute of it) now I know that good things come to those who wait.

Just an idea....maybe theres a way we LIW brides can somehow make a 'donation' or set somethin up at bridal shows to help pay for the chair! Your story is so sad.... i missed the show but wish i could of seen you win. Best of Luck to you!

That is really not necessary but I appreciate the thought. There are many more people in this area that need it more than we do., besides the fact that weddings are expensive.
