Bridal Garden (nyc)

Has anyone gone to or used the Bridal Garden in Manhattan?

The dresses are sample dresses donated by showrooms and designers. Proceeds go to a charity benefiting children.

i went. the idea behind it is great. but it is completely no frills. it is a small space with racks of dresses in plastic. so you have to pull out every dress to see if you like it.

imho - i didn't think that the stuff they had was very nice. i'm sure that occassionally they get a really nice designer dress, but in my experience, it seemed like they got the leftovers/unpopular dresses.

remember - this is just my opinion based on my experience there.

I've been there. The idea is nice but I found that if you were over a size 8, pickings were slim, at least for what I wanted. I didn't have a specific dress in mind but I knew the certain elements I wanted and I couldn't find much.

IMHO, if you're in the City I would make an appointment to check them out but I wouldn't go out of my way to make sure I saw their dresses.
