HI, congratulations. I am using Renate's in Lindenhurst. I've gotten several bridesmaid dresses there through the years (I am older, too) and have always been happy with them.

Village Bridal and Boutique they are nice, have good selection and the alterations are not that bad ( $). All my friends and family got their dresses in there, and i will get my dress in that store as well. They were known as Lidia's Bridal before they moved. They have a good rep.

Angel Bridals in East Islip. I'm getting my dress there and they have very reasonable prices for alterations. (They are a vendor on LIW)

bridal elegance usually does good work, but i think phyllis has been overwhelmed lately
