Ladies doesnt anyone have a budget on their dress?
Do you included it into your complete wedding budget?
Is $2000.00 too much??????????

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
my mom is buying it and we are going to try to keep it to $1000 - considering my parents are paying for the reception and my cinderella carriage... lol

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
no i think 2000 is a decent budget but just remember you will still have to pay for alterations, and veil etc. I had a budget max of 2,000 but ended up getting my dress for much less!

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
Mine was not a part of my budget, and we spent almost $3000

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
I think 2000 is normal. I think that's how much my mom spent on mine without tax/alterations/etc.
Shoes were another $100 or so - but I'm thinking with all the day of clothes and alterations it will prob be around 3000- including the special bra, underwear, shoes, garter, etc.

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
$2000 is definitely doable. We spent $1625 including alterations. And it's definitely a good idea to include it in your budget if you are paying for it yourself. I didn't include it because my momma bought mine for me.

I don't think $2000 is too much. That is the max I am looking to spend.

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
My mom is buying my dress for me so it's not factored into our budget, but $2000 seems fine.

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
That is probably realistic. I am a dreamer and want to keep it under $1000 total!
I made a budget, but I think i will have a hard time sticking to it! I'm going to try to be good, but its just so hard!

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
I'm going to tryyyy and stay under 1500, but knowing my past history of throwing the budget out the window when I go shopping, we'll see how that goes!

Re: Bridal Gown Budget
You can def find a dress in that budget. My budget is $1000 not including alterations, veil, shoes, bra, etc. I went to try on gowns once and I told them my budget and they only showed me gowns under 1k, there were a lot in the $700-800 range. It should be part of your total budget otherwise where is that money coming from?
