I am planning on starting my dress shopping in the next few weeks. So far I want to go to Bridal Reflections, The Wedding Shop, and RK Bridal. I would like to stay in the Nassau area. Any other suggestions? How many places should I try to go to?

Lillette's is supposed to be good. It's on Merrick Rd I think in Baldwin. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Re: Bridal Gowns
I got my dress from Lillettes in Bladwin ....They are all great there(although Gerri is awesome to work with). I went to two dozen places and was not treated half as good anywhere else. I feel like family ever time I go in there. They have gone above and beyond to get me exactly what I wanted. And their prices were really good. I had seen my dress slightly cheaper elsewhere but you are paying for more than just material...I didn't want to sacrifice service to save a hundred bucks...Good Luck and enjoy shopping for your dress!

Re: Bridal Gowns
Look online for the dresses you like, then find out who carries them locally. If you do it the other way around you'll see a lot of the same dresses, since salons only want to carry a limited stock to keep their costs down.

Re: Bridal Gowns
The Wedding Salon of Manhassett carries dresses by a lot of the top designers so definitely pay them a visit if that's what you are looking for. However, be prepared to be patient with them......things can be a little scatterbrained with them, lol.

Re: Bridal Gowns
I got my dress at Macy's. I tried on white gowns and I found the perfect one! You can try going to malls and dress shops and try on white gowns. You might find something lovely at a very reasonable price!

Re: Bridal Gowns
Im going to beautiful bride in lynbrook in two weeks to try on dresses. I was told they carry plus size dresses so i can actually try on samples. I found one dress on line that i loved and it says they carry it at that store. So im hoping for the best lol

Good experience so far... very nice people
ask for Millie (sooooo helpful) or Christine/Kristin
wide selection of gowns and prices are reasonable.

Re: Bridal Gowns
I got my dress from the Bridal Suite of Huntington. They are so nice there. My older sister also got hers there. That is why I went back. Good prices and great service.

I agree. I also got my gown at Lillette's (and the girls dresses, too). I can only say good things about them so far!

Re: Bridal Gowns
I just went to the Wedding Plaza yesterday....had that, 'this is THE dress' feeling with 2 dresses! So I put down a deposit and said it's going to be one of these, but not sure which. I met with Carmela and she was very nice, helpful, but gave me and my mom and sisters the privacy we needed. I'm a little concerned though because I just read a bad review about them. Should I continue with the purchase or see if I can get my deposit back? HELP!!
