Bridal Opinion...looking back...what would you have saved money on?
I was doing a search for something else and came across this question.Bridal Opinion...looking back...what would you have saved money on?
Past brides: Anything you wish you didn't purchase?
Future brides: Any regrets about purchases so far?
So far I love all my personal touches. I can't imagine my wedding day without them. That being said, it may all change come June 2nd.

No regrets so far! We booked our 'splurges' (photo/video and band), so from here on, I'm trying to low-ball the rest of my vendors and personal touches as much as possible without 'cheaping' out at the same time. I know that some things just aren't worth spending thousands on. Everything's going to be great and look great... provided I find The Dress next!

I'm SO happy with all of my splurges & personal touches.I know I would have regretted not getting a photo booth... I've been saying since the beginning of planning that I wanted one. Do I really NEED one? No, I don't.... but like I said, I knew I'd regret it if I didn't haha

I don't have any regrets so far. But i have a feeling I'm going to regret spending money on a veil since I plan on wearing it only for the ceremony. They're so expensive!

Regret- I wished I had looked more into make-up then just using a family friend. She did great face make-up but I felt like my eye make-up was a little less then I wanted. However it was nothing that ruined my day.All my personal touches and everything else I don't regret one bit spending the money. Even if we spent more in some places I am beyond happy with our wedding day.

I have no regrets and don't plan to. I have a budget which I plan on sticking to. I don't need things just because other people have them. Especially if I've never heard of them before I know I don't need them.

I absolutely am in love with my wedding dress and veil but I know I could have gotten something similar at David's bridal for less then what I spent. I do love my dress though. So I splurged on that. My veil I will also only be wearing for the ceremony so I wish I would have gotten something less expensive for that. The veil was $250! My wedding is August 31, 2013. So after my wedding I will be putting it up for sale if any future brides want it. It's gorgeous.

I absolutely regret spending money on our save the dates! In fact, it was one of the worse vendors we dealt with and that is why we chose Jessica Leigh for the rest of our stationary! We love her! Venting a bit..lol Save the dates for some people did not even mean anything. We sent ours about 10mths out and you would not believe the excuses people gave us knowing well in advance...as much as you tell people in advance they dont get it! Another regret is inviting certain people with a date because some just showed up by themselves and didnt tell us..we had about ten people not show up...thats a lot of money! But it didnt ruin our day! Just be prepared to have at least one or two not show up...Another regret was not inviting a certain guest in the first place...always go with your gut feeling! Listening to other people will drive you crazy...basically i waited two weeks before to tell a childhood friend whom i have lost contact with and without hesitation she said yes!!
At the end of the day its your wedding, not theres! So enjoy every moment! Ok, i'm done now!lol

No regrets!! My only thing is, I wish we weren't spending what we are per person at our venue. I see other ladies post cheaper prices for one wedding venues and I get a little RH regret. I love my hall, but I feel like we settled because we loved it so much. We could have gone to see at least 10 other venues an we could have totally budged with the date, but at the time I was insisting on having our wedding on 11/15/14. I found out later that we could have saved up to 20pp if we went with January or February. Oh well, I'm not going to change anything because we went with our gut instinct and couldn't be happier!

Re: Bridal Opinion...looking back...what would you have saved money on?
I think all the little things I spent money on that largely went unnoticed I could have saved on. We had some custom chocolate covered oreos on the table and I don't think anyone noticed. I printed custom menus (which didn't cost much). And the custom napkins I had printed (it was a huge sale).but really, those things would have saved me like $500 total and I loved them at the time.
I made a very detailed budget early on, and we stuck to it. There were other cute things I had seen other girls do, but they weren't in our budget so I had to let them go.

I don't regret it, but we probably didnt need to spend so much on a photo booth - I don't think it really added that much to the wedding.

Absolutely no regrets with what we did. The one thing I do regret is using a particular vendor for my placecards, menus & programs. I spent over $800 on this person (who was a bride on here & I tried to be nice and give her the business instead of going elsewhere) and her work was complete s***. Luckily my mom's friend saved the day but the original vendor wound up costing me more than I wanted to on something so minor. Had I known this would have happened, I would have had my invitations place design everything.Welcome New Vendors
