I was thinking of just having a maid of honor who is my best friend, and then a best man on the guys side.
this would b close friends of ours, no siblings from either side. Mainly b/c we r not overly close with them--in fact cant stand the future siblings and my sis and i love each other but r not that close. i kinda think a small bridal party saves money and helps out with the stress factor, any opinions on this?

I think it's a great idea. This is what I wanted to do. Definitley saves on the stress factor! There is no need to have a string of people in your bridal party.

it's YOUR day - do what makes you feel comfortable - The people up there are supposed to be the people you want to REALLY share your day - They're your support system - having people involved that you KNOW will give you a headache is probably not the best idea. - I have 6 BMs and 1 MOH - only b/c i know we'll all get along and have a great time w/o any drama - There is no rule to how may people have to be up there w/ you

I'm not even having a bridal party. Personally I feel that there is no reason for them (aren't all your close friends going to be at your wedding anyways). I also did not want the added stress.

my cousin had a small bridal party just a man of honor and best woman yes i did that right lol. but had large family of brothers so she had them in pics and i did a candle lighting and was in the pics. maybe you can do something to honor your siblings like being a reader or a candle lighter.
