Bridal Party

Sorry I know I am posting like crazy tonight but I have the planning bug tonight

Do you think it looks wierd if there are an uneven amount of people in the bridal party.

FH has 8 and I have 5. My only savior is that his bro (BM) will be escorting his mother up and down the aisle since she is single so that makes it 7 and 5 - what do u think I should do. I have 2 more girls I could ask but I am not super close to them. I mean I have 18mths - do u think its tacky to ask them later on?

I don't think it will look wierd. You can double them up.

I definitely would follow your instinct. I've been to a lot of weddings in which the bridal party was uneven. No one questioned it. On top of it, don't feel bad. My party is uneven too. I have 5 girls...my FH has 3 guys. There is a few ways you could do it. You could have two guys walk with one of your girls down the aisle (sweetheart style). Or you could have the guys wait up front and have the girls walk down one by one. Hope this helps.

i have an uneven number too.. its 6 and 5.. i dont think it will be that big of a deal

keep it up w/ the posting! thats how brides of the week are picked and also you become closer to 1000 posts and u can get ur liwedding shirt!

i dont think that having and uneven bridal party is wrong. you can have however many bridesmaids/ groomsmen, u could have them pair up, or triple or u can have them walk down one by one

mine is going to be uneven also... b/c im really not friends with many gurls so NO, it will not look weird...

Oddly enough I'm sure FH can find 2 more guys - he has back ups - hahaha.

plenty of people have uneven numbers nowadays, so i don't think anyone will raise an eyebrow at whatever you decide to do about the procession.

I am in the exact same boat as you, he has 8 and I have 5. What I plan to do is have the guys already standing at the alter and the girls walk the processional by themselves. Then during the recessional, some girls will have 2 guys on either side.

nope, ive seen this done and i think it looks fine. im also having an uneven #...its your weding, you can do what you want.

Im having 5 bridesmaids, I also thought an uneven number would look weird but it doesnt matter, there are only a few group shots in pictures anyway and now a days they put the girls in the backround or in diff spots, not necessarily lined up in a row when taking pics. If your not super close with someone then I wouldnt ask them. It will be fine !!!!

No...we were going to have an uneven BP....I think it is fine and photogs know how to set everyone up so it looks great....go for it!! And you don't want to have to force pick someone just to even things out.
