the bridal party is all your bridesmaid, groomsmen etc.

the bridal shower is only women who attend usually at a restarant or home and they give you all these gifts and you play games etc..

I feel that the shower should include the women in you close family, forget Great Aunt Anna, unless your super close. Also your girlfriends and people that you're close with in you FH's fam. If you're unsure of who to invite from his family, rule of thumb is you have to be able to connect the name and the face.

Yes your bridal shower should include FH's mom.... Most also consist of Aunt, cousins, of both sides. I have always seen basically all the women on both sides of the family...

FH's mother should ABSOLUTELY be at the shower!!!!

Many showers are just women close to the bride, mother, FMIL, sisters, FSIL's, close friends, close aunts, grandmothers, cousins.

Other showers invite just about every woman that's invited to the wedding.

Mine will probably be pretty big and almost every woman invited to the wedding will be invited to the shower. My mother and MOH's (sisters) are going to host the shower, and my mother has already told me that FMIL wants to help plan as well.

Re: Bridal Party

Bridal showers are for all women usually invited to the wedding. So def include your FMIL. As for the bachelorette party... you can exclude her..
