Good question. I actually have been terrible and have not asked mine yet. The deal is, i either have 3 (only family) or i have 7 (including girl friends from college). Is 7 too big? I really want my girlfriends there but i cannot ask just one and not the group

so my answer is probably going to be 7.

JoRo, I started of with 4 girls and 4 guys. End result 6 girls and 5 guys. Dont ask

I'm having 9 total: 3BM, 3 GM, 1 RB, 1 FG, 1 JrBM.

I'm having 8 BM, 7GM, 1 JBM, 1 JGM, 2 FG, and 1 RB. Could you believe I have to get gifts for all these people.

I understand. i almost forgot to ask my FH's sister you would think i was the worst person in the world! but it worked out okay. i think 6 will be fine, it is a great number!

I forgot to say that in addition to the BMs, my FH will have 4 'friends of the groom' as he calls them (don't ask) plus we will 2 RBs of the furry variety (our pups!).

I'm going with a small party to avoid it growing out of control with the 'If I ask this one I have to ask that one'. The kids is the only thing I couldn't resist having ALL of! If I were to have more, Id probably have close to 10 on each side!

I wanted small too- but that did not end up working out for me. Just couldn't not any of them... so I have 7 BMs, and he has 6 GM. I had originally only wanted about 4. So much for 'small!'
