Ok ladies, I need some opinions on the ratio of groomsmen to bridesmaids. Aside from best man and MOH, here is the count so far: 4 groomsmen 3 bridesmaids I do not want to add any ladies to my bridal party so three is the max, but FH has 2 more guys that he would like to add. I figured walking down the aisle would work out because it would be 3 ladies to 6 men so the guys would double up. But someone brought up a good point...what about the pictures?? Will 3 ladies get lost/look out of place in the pictures? Will 4 vs 3 be less obvious?? Im torn as to what will ultimately look best when we look back at the album and stuff. Anyone do something similar or is everyone keeping it an equal count on both sides??

Re: bridal party count...
So far we are keeping it equal. I'm sure the phoographer will figure out a way to pose you all that e will have everything look beautiful. I'm sure you can even ask the photographer for a pic of similiar situations.

do what you feel comfortable with... the photographer will make it work!!!!
We are having a MOH, 6 bridesmaids and 2 BM and 1 Usher... we are planning on having the MOH walk alone and then 2 girls per guy

Re: bridal party count...
I was MOH in my friends wedding and there were far more guys than girls. walking down the aisle, we doubled up for pictures, they posed us so it didn't look weird. Like for one pic, there was this long couch, the bride and groom sat in the middle, BM sat on both sides, and the GM stood behind. It turned out to be a really really nice shot... so there are definitely things that the photog can do to balance it out hope this helps

Re: bridal party count...
dh's 3 sisters backed out of our wedding party so we had 5 girls and 8 guys. i totally didnt mind! it looked fine imo and we were better off. the important thing is to have the people you want included, not just a balanced number

I'm sure your photographer can pose them well, just don't stand them in a line. Here are some examples:
I have 8 BMs, 1 Jr. BM, 1 FG, and 9 GM. I'm not really worried about it being even - I'm not doing anything 'traditionally' anyway. Have who you want and the photographer will figure it out!
