Bridal Party Dilemma

Bridal Party Dilemma

Ok Well I have posted before about my Fiance’s Family and I think they are doing it again. My fiancé just told me that he doesn’t think his sister is coming to our wedding either. The problem is I picked both his niece and nephew to be my flower girl and ring bearer. The sad part is both his niece and nephew were looking forward to it. His niece was practicing and everything. It breaks my heart and it upsets me because we told them about this over a year ago that was plenty of time to get money together to fly over here. I am planning to have a talk to his sister and tell him how much it will mean to him if they come but I know that they are going to come with the “We just don’t have the money” UGH!

Sorry I had to vent before I actually speak with her.

Oh no!

I can see having trouble if it was a last minute wedding, but you told her a long time ago to prepare her!

I actually had a similar problem. Only instead of my IL's it was my own PARENTS! My little sister was supposed to be the flower girl, she too was very excited. It's worth a shot to talk to them, see how you can make it easier for them to come(without saying you'll pay for it). Other than that all you can do is hope. They are going to be the ones who have to explain to the kids why they aren't going to be in the wedding.

I'm so sorry

hang in there, it can only get better, take a real deep breath, as I did with my FSI and say to yourself....i will not let anyone ruin my day.......try to talk to her if you can, if not, unfortunatly the kids will suffer all because of her......ITS YOUR DAY....
if they dont come, you will figure something else out....some people...ugh,,,,,,,so sorry you have to deal with this nonsense, but hang in there, in the end it will be your dream come true with or without them, even though you are so caring and kind and she is not........she is taking away from her kids life.......

I think it's really great that you are going to talk with her... maybe hearing how much it means to you both will make her rethink her choice
