Bridal Party Dresses

I picked out dresses for my BP (they are in my album) but now that I look through peoples pics it seems like the same color different style dresses are really in. I am open to that, and was wondering how difficult people found it to coordinate? My BP girls are all shapes and sizes =), my main thing is, making everyone comfy?

What's everyones in put any and all suggestions are welcome =)

Re: Bridal Party Dresses

It's very common now to have the girls all wear different dresses but in the same color.

With that said, I was actually able to find a dress that looks great on all of my girls, and am very happy with that. I still prefer the uniform look, so people can look at them and say 'Oh, she's a bridesmaid!'

ETA: pics of the dress in my album.

We went shopping and I was open to whatever... but they all ended up picking the same dress anyway!

is your MOH wearing the same as the rest of the BP? How are you going to have her stand out?

My plan right now, is to have everyone in the same dress. My niece who is 16 prefers a tea length dress so I am going to have hers cut to the length she wants... But, I was afraid my MOH would look too uniform w/ everyone?

I like the idea of different styles, but I also like the uniform idea too?

Hey...I chose one color/fabric/designer...wine/tissue taffeta/bill levkoff and let the girls pick out their own dresses. I chose BL b/c there were so many dresses within that one fabric. I have 7 girls in my bridal party. My MOH picked 1st and I said that she was the only one in that dress. I didn't care if the others doubled up on dresses, but each girl ended up picking a different dress. I like the uniform look, but I want them to feel comfortable in their dresses esp since they are all soo different in terms of styles, shapes, and sizes.

We ordered the dresses from an internet company so the prices were significantly lower than in the stores. Haven't received the dresses yet.

Good Luck!

I have two MOH's and yes they are wearing the same dress. I'm buying all of the girls a rhinestone brooch to put on their dress, so I will buy a different one for the MOH's. They will also have different bo-k's (red and white instead of the all white ones the BM's will have), and I'm going to buy them different DOJ.

I think it's totally fine to have the same color in different styles. Our girls are all wearing the same dress, but what we did was all go to the dress shop together and the girls all picked out the dresses that they liked and we had a bunch of dressing rooms in a row, my sister (MOH) would try on a dress and if she (or I) didn't like it it went back on the rack, if she liked it an it looked good she would pass it to the next girl and so on and so forth. I didn't really care much about what style they picked as long as it came in chocolate brown and they all liked it and were comfortable. In the end, they all liked the same dress anyway. They are also all different shapes and sizes and the dress look great on all of them. It's a very flattering style. I think you can manage to find a dress that all will like and feel comfortable in if you want to. If you prefer to have them in different styles then go for it. It's your day do it however you want Pics of BM dresses are in my album.

My color is Tiffany Blue and since I am getting married in July, I love tea length dresses. I am letting them choose whatever style though that they are comfortable in.
