Re: bridal party games

Okay here are some I just found:

1. Ask the groom 20 or so questions about himself. At the shower, have everyone ask how well they think the bride knowes her groom. Have them write down how many of the questions they think she will get right.

Some question ideas are: 'What was his first pet and it's name?'. 'His favorite....music group, color, and so on.' 'How old was he when.... he had his first kiss, etc.'

2. What's In the Bag
contributed by Lequel

Before hand, have the host of the bridal shower make up a list of items that any women would have in her purse. Such as lip stick, cell phone, pens, pictures of family, etc.

Assign each item a point value. The person with the most points wins the game.

3. Skirt Tails
contributed by Rachel

Whenever the guests arive you hand out to them one per person a clothes pin. (a cute idea is to decorate wooden pins with names or pictures) whenever they get it, you pin it to your skirt tail or the bottom of your pants leg. You are not allowed to cross you ankles or legs. If you are caught with any of the two crossed the person who notices it runs over and takes you pin. The person with the most pins wins the prize to give to the bride. This is a fun game to play and it really brakes the ice. After the shower is over all of the decorative pins are given to the bride. Some pins may even have her name/his name and even the date on them.

It is a very interesting way for her to look back on her shower and it brings back smiles. You will be surprised how some women get agressive about getting the most pins. :)

4. Hunk-in-a-Baloon
contributed by Kirsten

You take a total of 25 balloons, [more or less depending on the amount of guest arrive] and put either a picture and/or description of a man inside the balloon. After the balloons have been blown up and passed around, each lady pops her baloon with a provided pin. The lady who finds the hunk or groom is the winner!

5. Advice for the Bride
contributed by Kate D

Cut construction paper into small heart shapes and attach pipe cleaner. Hand all of the guests one with a pen and ask them to write 'advice for the bride' example, 'never go to bed together mad'.

Place completed hearts in a vase and ask the bride to read them out loud. This is a great keepsake for the bride.

6. How Well do You Know the Bride?
contributed by Shonda

Have pre-printed paper with diffrent questions about the bride, etc What is the brides favorite color, What does the bride plan to name her first child, what size does she wear? Pass the paper out to the guests and set a time limit who ever gets the most correct is the winner.

7. Kitchen shower game
contributed by Arlene

Either purchase an assortment of kitchen utensils or use what you can find in yours. Attach cord or ribbon to each. Let guests decorate bride with 'things she will need to 'become familiar with'. They can be creative about where they hang these to her body. She should 'wear' these for a while at least, and then have her picture taken.

If items were purchased, they can be given to the bride.

8. Flying Wishes
contributed by Andrea Catrell

I rented a helium tank to fill 100 balloons for my best friend's bridal shower. (I saved enough empty balloons to give to each one of the guests.) I had each of the guests write a special wedding wish or promise to the bride and groom, allowing the bride a chance to read each one.

Everyone then folded their papers and put them in the flat balloon, which could be filled with the helium left in the tank, and tied with a ribbon. As a group we let them go into the air. Nearly every women wanted to cry...Definitely hit a strong cord. People watched until they couldn't see the balloons anymore. It was really cool.

9. Recipe
contributed by Michele

This is a game of advice. Buy index cards and insert them in the invitations for guests to share their favorite recipe's with the bride. Have some extra's at the shower before, while the guest are arriving just in case they forgot their recipe card at home. This will give them a chance to put something down before the bride arrives.

10. Advice book
contributed by Flynn

Have a polariod camera and take a photo of each guest as they arrive. Put the photos in a book and have the guests give a little tibit of advice next to their photo. It's a great reminder for the bride to remember her friends and their personalities.

Oh, I absolutely love bridal bingo because instead of people just sitting around 'oooing' and 'ahhhhing,' they can be playing a game and getting prizes!

If you hadn't seen it. You set it up as a Bingo board and in each of the squares you either write one item from the registry like 'towels' or 'china' or you can have the guests write in their own boxes (although then you have some sneaky cheaters ) And the first person who gets five across, diagonal, or down gets a prize. Our family plays for three winners. Its really neat that everyone gets all excited and even though the attention is not completely focused on you, thats okay because you know they are at least enjoying themselves!
