Bridal Party Gifts..What did you get if you DIDNT GET THEM DOJ?

i dont want to get them DOJ, to me, thats not really a 'thank you' being that its something that I want them to wear for MY wedding.
i woudl prefer to get them something else useful.

what are you getting your girls?

I got them all bags at American Bridal. They are really cute. Since we are all staying at a hotel the night before, I'm going to back the bags with travel stuff: mini shampoo, conditioner, brush, makeup, etc.

I plan on getting DOJ, but something that they can wear at other times too.

With that said, I also got:

American Bridal tote bags
American Bridal cosmetic cases
cute little velvet jewelry pouches

Then I plan to pack the bags and cosmetic cases too with lots of little things.

ETA: I'm also going to get them ballet slippers to change into if they don't want to wear their heels, and I'd like to get them robes (if budget allows).

i DID get my girls DOJ along w/ a little clutch & an engraved compact mirror....weeks later a friend of mine got her girls short terricloth robes w/their names embroidered & a pair of slippers...thought this idea was SO cute & i would've absolutely done this if i would've thought of it..they all wore them the morning of while getting ready, and it's something they'll use all the time

i got them..tanks,make up bags ,cute pic fram that says me n my maids, a shower gel n lotion set...thast it so far but ill prob throw a few other things in

I got mine...coach wristlets. A little tired, I know, but in this case they are fuschia and match their dress perfectly and HOPEFULLY they will wear them again. But since, like you, I think its not really a gift if its just an accessory to wear to my wedding, I also got them very cute leather Ferla cosmetcs cases from Bluefly.com. And a $5 pashmina that I'm pretty sure they'll only use day-of Hey, one out of three ain't bad.

I am getting them digital photo keychains they all have children and it would be easier for them to have pics of them instead of taking out their phones all the time. I'm also getting them DOJ

Small coach bags, vera bradley make up bags, everyday earrings and funny note cards, all stuffed into a black and white canvas tote (for the beach or grocery shopping).

My sister gave all the girls Burberry wallet/envelope, which you can always use. I think I might get them some sort of designer id holder(greatt to put metro cards in or change) and maybe something else.

I have no clue yet!

I am purchasing their DOJ but in addition I got coach wristlets, a shower soap set from sephora called 'the wedding party', Juicy tubes from Lancome, and I am personalizing a tote bag to put it all in.

I got them Tiffany's starfish necklaces - to wear the day of, but also everyday. I also got them earrings to wear the day of. Might get tote bags if FH doesn't find out! LOL

Vera Bradley totebags with personalized cosmetics bags inside. I filled them with a personalized compact mirror and some items from Bath & Body Works. I also put in umbrellas. And they each got a Coach wristlet. MOH got a Coach bag.

I got my girls DOJ's not as a thank you but bc I wanted them to wear it the day of.

I got each a guess watch as a thank you.

well what stinks is that i have 8 girls
so this is gonna be a lot of money. i was thinking from 70-100 per girl

and i cant do wristlets because my MOH just did that for us for her wedding at the end of 07

I'm making them baskets...so far they have isotoner slippers, compact mirrors, perfume, body srub, mac lip gloss/mac gift cards, personalized travel mugs...I'm going to put a robe in each basket as well.

thats actually similar to an idea i had. the only problem is my cousin wouldnt really use that stuff. shes kinda hard to shop for so i might have to make her a different basket
