Bridal Party Information Needed!

No one in my family has gotten married in years...so it has been a long time since i have been to a wedding...i am just not sure how many junior bridesmaids/flower girls/ring bearers are typical and does the flower girl always walk down with the ring bearer? How can you include as many children as possible? Please tell me about your weddings...i want details...thanks!!!!

Its really up to you how many people you want in your bridal party, typically the ring boy does walk with the flower girl but that is up to you.

I agree with Latina511, you can do whatever you are comfortable with. I have alot of nieces and nephews, some who want to do things, and some who are shy and Don't. I am having 2 ring bearers, 1 flower girl. Two of my nephews are handing out the programs, a few will bring up the gifts (Catholic Mass), and a couple others will do readings. You can have kids do a lot of different things. Again, your bridal party can be as small or large as you want it to be

I don't think there is a typical number - every wedding I go to is so different (and that is the fun of it all!!).

I went to a wedding once where they had no BM or GM and 5 FG and 4 RB. I'd say figure out who you want to include and make up a title for them!!

we figured out a way to incorporate 4 extra GM - they will hold a hand help Huppa (sp?)

Each girl will have 2 guys walking her down to aisle

I really don't think it matters much anymore how even, uneven, big, small the party is

You can include who ever you want and and as many as you like. We went on the small side and had 2 best men and a maid of honor.

Don't know if you made your decision yet, but here is what I am doing, I too have a few children I wanted to include:

1 MOH
1 BM

8 BM
8 GM
(everyone will be paired off)

1 JR. BM
1 JR. USHER
(they are both 10 and I'm having them walk down together)

2 FG
1 RB
(all three of them are walking together)

I hope I helped - there is also something called Pages - I believe you can have both little girl and little boy pages - I'm not really sure though! Good luck!

just to reiterate...you can do what ever you want...I have seen only children and MOH and BM...to 11 on each side

we had:
1 MOH and 1 BM

3 BMs and 4 GM (one BM walked with 2 GM)

1 GM turned officiant

2 jr BM (14 y-o) walked with 1 jr GM (10 y-o)

and 1 FG

I was thinking of having the fg and rb walk together, but they can walk alone as well.

I am learning that weddings are not what they use to be. You can do whatever you want.

Yeah I agree you can do whatever you want. Here is what we're having:

1 Junior brides maid (14 years old and she will probably be walking by herself)
2 Flowergirls (who will be walking down with the ring bearer)

I will have 3 of my close cousins serves as additional ushers, just to help seat people.

I will have 2 of my little cousins that I am close to hand out the rose pedals for throwing after the church.

If you want a small BP then you can find ways to involve those close to you. That is what we did.
