are you guys paying for you BM's makeup on your wedding day?? or are they paying for it or doing their own?

im not sure yet, i think im going to have it done by my FH cousin she is an amazing young make up artist!!!! but im not sure if she can do it..otherwise they have to pay themselves!! hehe

They'll pay but I'll get them a different gift. I would rather buy them something they can use again instead of paying for hair/makeup the day of.

well 4 out of 5 of my bridesmaids have to travel to even get to my wedding (i'm in NC) so at oksana's rate of $90 a person (i have five bm's plus me) that's $540....i dunno...i guess i might be saving them a night in a hotel room if my grandfather let's us stay in his condo on the night before the wedding...i just think with BM dresses ranging around $150-$200+ plus alterations, shoes, jewelry...it gets so expensive for them.. i'm afraid some of them might say 'no thanks' and want to do their own makeup and then everyone would look different.
edit// haha i'm totally forgetting about hair too...maybe hair is more important than matching makeup. thoughts??

My sister is a may 08 bride. we actually just had our trial for hair and makeup this weekend. We are all payin for it ourselves.

UHM, I'm not sure- my makeup artist is a friend of the family who is AMAZING! She's done all the weddings in the family ~ I still have to talk $ with her. I haven't actually thought about whether is was paying for everyone- oh jeez

My girls as you know...knew people who did there make up free!!!! So ask your girls if they know someone....some girls feel moer comfy with there own person.

I advised all of my BMs to have their makeup done but I didn't make it manditory cause I will not be paying for it.

im going to let my BM do their own makeup--i trust everyones judgement and think everyone will look great!
but i think that you should pay for it...i know that if i had to pay for my own makeup i would rather do it myself!!

it depends on how much it turns out to be. if its not to expensive ill pay for it and still get them a nice gift, as i was planning. if it turns out to be really expensive then ill give them the option of paying for it.

I don't know yet.....My MOH does a great job on herself and might not like anyone else doing hers......So I don't know maybe I'll pay for the hair up-dos.......
