I wanted to do that - but FH vetoed it.
I know for my brothers' wedding - they did a Jewish ceremony and there were no 'maid of honor' roles - just one of her sisters and me on her side & no one really on his side...

Re: Bridal Party Question????
honestly do it if you want. I really think the more people the more drama. The only thing you have to realize no wedding party means no on to help you plan a bridal shower unless your mom offered to do that or a bach party.
I am having only 4 per side so 8 total bp. I honestly wanted less then that but people complained a bit so I caved in. I am kinda happy but at the same rate I am still plaining my bach party becuase no one else wants to do it.

Re: Bridal Party Question????
A couple I know had no bridal party at all. Their wedding was still really nice! She was so happy not to have to deal with bm dresses and all the drama that could happen within a bp. It was just strange that there was no processional at all before her... personally I love the buildup of having the bm's walk down the aisle as everybody gets excited for the bride. And I have a bunch of friends who I couldn't imagine not having in my bridal party, they helped me get even more excited for my wedding, get dressed that day, etc. But if there was no one I wanted to ask, I'd just not bother having one at all. It's not a big deal to skip it! They're not necessary as long as you have witnesses to sign the marriage license.

I am not worried about the shower and bach party bec I know my friends and family will take care of that. I wanted 6 on each side but FH doesnt want one at all, he just agreed to MOH and best man. I want my cousins and SIL and sisters in it and my 2 good friends but FH is afraid that he wont have enough people on his side. ohhh its just sooo annoying. But I want my friends and fam to enjoy my wedd and not have to worry about anything. Decisionsssssssss, decisions, thanks so much!!!!

The bigger the party, the bigger the drama. Keep it as small as possible.

I really want a BP but FH does not, he only wants flower girls with me, but I dont have many little girls in my family. I want to pick out BM dresses and all that good stuff that comes with having a BP, , I dont know what to do. I just want to make it fair I dont want to have to pick and choose if I do have a BP, I dont want anyone getting upset

I am having 1 MOH and 2 BM's. My cousin is my MOH and my best friend since I was 4 and my best friend from college make up the other 2. FH is only having 2 total- his best man and his GM... we are having one of them walk down the aisle with 2 of my girls. I dont think it matters if it is even.... I think it matters that you have people that you care about in your bridal party rather than fill it up with people you aren't close with.

It's your wedding, and if you tell people that FI wanted a small party and didn't have many people to ask, they'll just have to deal. If they're the kind of people who would cause drama without being in your wedding, you wouldn't want them in your wedding party where they can maximize the damage!

Hmmm that's really hard. Since you want a BP, I think you should have one. I think you should decide on a number you want, and then go for it. Maybe 2, That way you'll have a few girls and get to go do bm dresses and everything but it won't get out of hand and your FH won't have to worry about it looking really uneven since it's a small number. Maybe pick the two girls who are closest to you and then tell the others you are sorry you couldn't include them but you had to keep it small. I don't know, I wish I had better advice for you, that's a hard situation. Is there any way you can still convince your FH to have a larger bp? Or what if you have the 6 girls and he agrees to have 3 guys, and each guy can walk with 2 girls? That way it wouldn't look uneven. I don't know, I'm trying to think of a good compromise. Maybe ask him to compromise with you too. Good luck deciding.

Yeah I originally wanted 6 girls and want to stick with that, if he has 2 or 3 guys do you think it would look stupid if I had more than his side??? Thanks for the help, I may talk him into maybe just having 4. I really want my girls to be there.
