Bridal Party Questions

I have some questions as I am just starting to work on the bridal party...
we are having
2- sisters as bridesmaids
3- groomsmen
2 - sets of parents

1) we will have our parents walk us down the aisle...do they stand there too??

2) do my mom's dress and his mom's have to match??? they are totally diff. types of fashion mavens - my mom is more funky/artsy - his mom more fashion-y

3) it's a day wedding...no need for tux - do the groomsmen have to wear all the same color suit? Or can I tell them a basic color - navy or something...I have no idea what to do...

Anyone with suggestions?
It's an early wedding w/ a more garden-y feel...HELP!!

1) The parents are seated during the ceremony
2) the mother's dresses don't have to be the same color, but all dresses should compliment the whole color scheme (my dress is ivory, my BM are in cranberry, my FMIL's dress is creme, my mother is looking for a blush colored gown)
3) I would suggest the GM all wear the same color suit, whether that's black or navy. You may want to consider buying them ties as their gift so they match

That's a smart idea all around...I knew the mom's had to coordinate (I used to work in Fashion - I guess I should know this!!)
but the ties are brilliant!!

I firgured the parents were seated...just wanted to check with the consensus of the wonderful li weddings gals!!

The rest is pretty much up to you, but I agree that the GMs should all match.

Princessrose - I am having an interfaith ceremony (FH's family is Jewish, mine is Catholic) and I'm not totally familiar with the customs. Do the parents stand in a Jewish ceremony?

Yes we are Jewish - what is the custom? I am sure the Rabbi (who is my friend from hi school) will tell us...

Okay if the GM Match at 11.30 in the morning -what do they wear?

FH wants to wear a suit b/c it's garden-y but could he do a tux??

It is a more informal party b/c of time of day and location...
