Does anyone have a bridal party member that has a tattoo that will stand out on your wedding??? My sister does on her calf. its a big one. I wanted a dress that is tea length in the front and long in the back. Her tat stands out. It is rude that I told her she has to cover it up???

it was funny that u mention that...there were like all the girls having tattoos that showed in my bros wedding party (the girls)
i thought it look a bit weird but i mean..what can ya do!
personally i wouldnt ask for them to cover it up but if it looked funky in the pics n u didnt like it, id ask the photographer to photoshop it out.

I know they sell the cover up kits and people actually put them in their BM goodie bag kits.
Feel her out to see if she will be insulted. It is on her leg and there probably won t be many pics of her legs.

i already 'TOLD' her she had to cover it up. she didnt really seem to care but i dont want it to stand out.

I think it depends on who you ask to cover it up. My best friend was in her brothers wedding and her entire foot is covered in tattoos and she didn't cover them with the tea length dress .. but if that were me I would have asked the bride if she wanted me to... since its your sister I think you should just talk to her about it maybe she will totally understand

one of my BMs is covered in them.. like there's about 14 of them. i straight up told her that i want her in my bridal party but she'd have to cover up her tattoos.. i apologized and all for asking her to not be 'herself'.. she wasn't insulted or anything she understood especially bc she wants to cover them up for her own wedding..
i still feel bad though and i think i'm gonna pay for her hair and makeup to kind of make up for it.. i feel it was bridezilla-ish of me lol

if you already asked her and she didn't make a big deal about it, i'm sure she'll just do it and that'll be the end of it but at least it's on her leg it won't make it into any pics

i have one bm that is covered and tatts and i asked her to be apart of the bp because i wanted her to be there. She asked if she had to do anything and the only thing i told her is to take her septum ring out for the pics other then that show your ink wear your other piercings and have some fun.
But this is me - i love ink even though i have none myself.

suga.. my maid of honor has a tatt that goes from her stomach up her sternum between her boobs up her chest and over her shoulder.. a series of flowers.. she understans that she must cover it up with make up.. no excuses... i even told her to start practicing to make sure she can do it well.. cause i don't want all that crap in my pics...
she understood.. i had to throw a couple of *look b*tch* and *u betters* and *or elses* followed by *look i'f u cover u'r tatt for my wedding i'll go GET a tatt for u'r wedding...
but in the end she agreed..

I was a bride's maid in my sister's wedding & I had the make-up artist cover it for me. She airbrushed it & it was great! Having it done for my wedding.

I think if it bothers you I would say have the photograher photoshop if you can still see it. I am glad that she didnt say no or anything mean about covering it.

well since you already told her to cover it up there isnt really too much you can do about it and I can understand what would make you say this.
However, I gotta say, I think its a little weird. Yes, these girls have choosen to get ink done, but to ask someone to change something about themselves in order to warrant being part of your special day? Just think if someone asked you to dye your hair or loose weight in order to be in their bridal party how would you feel?
Glad to hear that she sees your side though and that there wont be issues.

i think anyone in the bridal party should be someone that you can talk to freely about tattoo cover-up...I think it is a personal choice especially when it comes to looking at your wedding pics for the rest of you life...who wants to see the cool butterfly their bm got in college on a drunken night.....I personally don't like the look of tattoos with formal wear....There are very few people out there I think really pull off a tattoo and a wedding/bm dress...otherwise JMO-i think it looks tacky.

I have tattoos. Only one of which would be visible in 'reasonably' cut bridesmaid dress. Depending on who asked me to cover it ... i might get offended.
If you've known all along that your bridal party has visible ink, i think it's just easier to avoid hurting people's feelings, and perhaps telling your photographer to position them in a specific way to 'hide' the tats instead of having them edit or censor themselves.
but that's just my opinion. i have members of my bridal party who offered to have their ink covered and i said don't bother.

it is your wedding...i owuld ask her if she would mind doing it and see her reaction...ultimatly it is up to you. I have one on my shoulder and i said i am NOT gonna cover it....but when i saw the pics of me in my dress...i wasnt happy with how it looked. i have to see once i have my hair the way i want it but i might cover it up

I few of my BP members have tats.. Actually I think all but one do,. All of there backs, most BP 'posed shots ive seen dont show there backs so Im not going to make a big deal about it. Piercings on the other hand must come out or have retainers put in. One of the GM has a septum piercing and huge plugs. I asked him if he would take out the septum ring and put in plugs that were more of a flesh tone, he didnt mind.
