It's October and I'm finally getting my butt in gear and all the questions are now popping up.
I'm having my ceremony and reception at the same place. My hotel is 10 minutes away from our location. I'm trying to figure out how to get the bridal party and the parents to the ceremony/reception location for pictures beforehand and I'm thinking I do need to rent cars/limos so people don't have to drive. The problem is, it seems soooo expensive for just a 10 minute drive.
I got a quote of $150 per trip per limo and $75 per town car per trip. Maybe that is good but it adds up and seems a bit much for a 10 minute ride.
I'm considering just the limos in the morning and we all take the shuttle back to the hotel after the reception.
Any advice from other brides who have their ceremony & reception at the same place or quotes on this type of transportation? i.e. not renting it for hours since I don't need to go to the church and then the reception etc...
Thank you in advance!

Re: Bridal Party Transportation?
I had to transport my DH, his parents, and his half of the bridal party and their guests from Nassau to Queens for the ceremony. I called a local taxi service and they charged us $110 plus tip for a 14 passenger van. It was well worth the piece of mind knowing that everyone was where they were supposed to be in plenty of time.
Since your ceremony and reception are at the same location, why don't you just call a taxi service and not spend so much money on a limo. No one is even going to know the difference for a 10 minute ride.
All of our guests staying in the hotel used the shuttle back and forth from our RH. No reason to spend even more money if they are providing this service for you.

Re: Bridal Party Transportation?
Thank you for your help! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I've been out of the office and my cable and internet has been down since I posted and they can't come until tomorrow to fix it!
