bridal procession for the ceremony

Im trying to set up the order of my procession, and I always thought that you pair up BM's and GM and the MOH walks down alone, etc, etc, but my banquet mgr said that everyone walks down alone, like each of the BM's and GM by themselves. Is this true and ive just never really noticed before? How is everyone doing it?

that's a matter of personal prefferance.
Sometimes the guys all walk down alone at the very begining of the processional and then the bm walk in.
sometimes they walk in together.

We had 2 best men. so one of them stood up with DH the other walked MIL down the aisle and then stayed up there.

We had the BM's walk down alone.

you can do whatever you want.

i am having all of my GM lined up already next to FH...the BMs will walk up the aisle alone

I heard that you can do it either way. I will be having the couples paired off.

I've seen it done a few different ways I think its personal preference.

Ihave seen the GM's waiting at the altar and just the BM's walk down (then when the ceremony is over they pair up to walk out)

I have seen the BM's and GM's walk as couples (usually MOH with BM together. Then you can pair BM and GM any way you want)

I have never seen BM's walk seperate then GM's, but you could do it that way if you wanted.

hmmm, thats interesting. i'll probably do something like that cuz some of the GM are freaking out about who they are walking with, like they're the ones getting married or something.

I think we are having the Best Man standing up at the alter with FH. FH's parents will walk down, then my mom escorted by ??? not sure yet. Then it will be 3 pairs of GM & BMs walking together. Then my MOH alone. Then I think I am having JBM & FG walk together b/c they are sisters, followed by the other JBM & FG (sisters). Then our Ring Bearer and lastly, me and Daddy! WHEW!!!

Me too. And FH will walk FMIL down the Aisle and 'seat' her before joining the officiant.

The GMs will be seating people and once time comes for the ladies to arrive they will just walk up casually to the altar and stand next to Groom and BM who will emerge from sacristy.

Then parents walk down. My mom escorted by my brother(s).
FMIL, FFIL walk together

Then the bridal processional

We did DH & his BM standing up front then DH's parents walked in then my mom was escorted by my brother (GM) then he came back out and the BM walked with the GM then the Jr BM's walked together, next the fllower girls, then my MOH then me & my dad.

You can do it however you like don't worry about what anyone says do it however you want it!

Thank you for posting this question......... I have an uneven amount of bm & gm. I think FH & his BM will be standing up front and then I will have 2 sets of bm & gm go down and then 2 girls with one gm, jbm & my finally my twin fg's!
