Bridal reflections

Bridal reflections

Not good, not good. OK, so I had a 2:30 appt, that I knew I was running late for. So I call at like 2:20 to tell them this so they prepare. I get asked whats my name, and whens my wedding, and what am I looking for... HELLO, all you need is my name to see what time my appt is. Anyways, I then get put on hold for 15 minutes, and finally just hung up. So my BM and I arrive at like 2:50. And I say hey, I'm sorry I had a 2:30 I know I'm late. She doesn't even look at me, just says, oh hunny, can you come back another day? So I make a and she goes oh did you come far, and I say yeah from Brooklyn (not really). And she says well I have other brides coming in who already purchased stuff and need fittings. Well, ok, thats great, but whats that have to do with me? So she goes, well maybe I could show you a few things, what did you have in mind. So I show her a couple of dresses. She gets 2 of them, I try them on, and she took her time with it. She didn't show me anything else I was looking for (guess they weren't as expensive!) So at 3 she cuts it short, and said she wishes she could've done more but we were late. PS. NO ONE WAS THERE WAITING!!! Its Monday afternoon!!!!
So then we proceed over to the BMs store. We get no hello, so we just start looking. Then someone shouts oh tea length dresses are done there. So we escort ourselves downstairs, we find a dress, I have her try it on. And as shes modeling it for me, some snot comes downstairs and she goes oh do you need help, so I say no just looking (I mean it was pretty obvious we found sort of what we were looking for, AS SHE WAS TRYING IT ON!!). Then she asks when is the wedding, so I say July 3rd, excluding the year. So says oh you really should order something this month or in January to have it by July. Real snotty. So we left.

Just wanted to let you girls know, I won't be shopping there again!

Re: Bridal reflections

I'm sorry you had this experience. It was your first time dress shopping; you were probably so nervous and excited, and it should have been so much fun! After what I read from other girls on LIW I didn't think I would try Bridal Reflections, but after reading your post, they're definitely off my list. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Bridal reflections

And what makes matters worse is that the only store in LI that carries James Clifford is Bridal Reflections in Massapequa or in Albany!!! Great!!!!

Re: Bridal reflections

I just called them just for kicks, because i want to try on jim hjlem gown. She said she did not have any of mermaid/trumpet styles that im looking for, and that since my wedding is in June 2008 i have so much time and to call back. They werent rude per se, but i just really want to try on that style dress. Maybe i should just lie and say my wedding is in August 2007? What do u think?

i am going to call kleinfelds tommorow.

Re: Bridal reflections

I went there the first time I was trying on gowns. They were nice at first. But once I found the dress I really Really liked they assistant manager came over and started to pressure me to order it. And the origial price was $6500. and she told me she could get the designer to go down. So she called the designer. but when she came back she wouldn't tell me the price all she told me was that she marked it down alot! So then I said no and I started to try on other gowns. and then one for $5300. so at this point i said I liked this one also so she said oh well let me tell you th eother offer then. So she then after about 1 hr tells me that the other dress was $5300. So she kept pressuring me to buy it right there. I said I wanted to still look and I had so much time left. This was back in september. My wedding itsn't untill july 08. So I called The wedding center in commack cause i knew they had dresses for alot less. They can get me the dress for $4000. That is a huge difference!!! I was so turned off by bridal reflections. I will not go back there.

Re: Bridal reflections

colleen.. i went there first also cuz they had everything i wanted.. they were sooo nasty to me.. we had to do everything ourselves.. i went to the bridal shop and the lady said.. oh hunny your about a year too early.. and we wont even give u an apointment.. so i said oh wow thats GREAT BUSINESS.. looks like ill buy my 5,000 dress at another store who will be bother with me... (im not getting a 5k dress but it was the pont) how do they know im not going to drop 5k on a dress.. i hate them their... i was blown away that they would treat potential customers. In the BM store they asked if i was even getting married.. and i siad YES WOULD U LIKE TO SEE MY RING??..oh they twist me the wrong way.. i wouldnt buy anything from them if it was the last place on earth id rather get married in jeans!

there are so many other places dont worry youll find a place!

I really want to make an appt too, just to curse them out! Not because they need to be 'put in their place' (you can tell this aggravates you) but just because come on people, these are brides searching for their wedding gown - it's a beautiful, happy time! Why be such a nasty wench? We should all go together and tell them to f-ck off with their attitudes! And start telling all the other shoppers in there about Phyllis from Gownfind and how she can get dresses for less money!!! Ugh!!! Bridal Reflections makes me mad!!

yes i get extremely angry when i read this. it is supposed to be a happy time, but they treat you worse than dirt at the bottom of a shoe.
i do not know why they are still in business with all these horrific experiences. I would never in a million years purchase a thing from them. But i may go in there to see how they treat me, because if they are nasty i am the last person who would stand for that.
