Bridal reflections

Re: Bridal reflections

Are you looking for a James Clifford? There are other stores in NJ and PA, and I'm sure DE and CT that carry James Clifford. I actually bought mine in PA and saved $400 off the Bridal Reflections price and the tax is cheaper there (6%, but still a savings!) Also, Delaware has no tax.

Granted, I live in PA (although grew up and getting married in LI), but even so, it's only about 2 hours and 15 minutes without traffic to get from where the store I bought from is to LI. I'm sure there may be closer places as well, I just happen to live close to that one now. If you really want a James Clifford I would highly recommend sucking it up and making the trip elsewhere over BR.

I had the worst experience at that place They basically told me I was too fat (I'm a size 8) to wear any of their 'high end' runway dresses

And what makes matters worse is that the only store in LI that carries James Clifford is Bridal Reflections in Massapequa or in Albany!!! Great!!!!

In the defense of Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, they are NOT AT ALL like the people in Carle Place; its like a totally different store. The women there are very friendly and accomadating. My dress was by James Clifford and I didnt even know the name nor any of his work until the woman who worked there, Gloria, said she had a dress that would be perfect for me....and she was 100% right!!

Im REALLY THANKFUL I went there. My experience with them was great.

Thats what I want, a James Clifford. I called the Carle Place one, and yes, I will see them next! Thanks.

Re: Bridal reflections

I am sorry so many people had bad experirences, but I also know just as many wonderful experiences from there, well from the store in Massapequa. They were very cery nice to me. I just orderd by dress yesterday, its a James Clifford. I'll post pics, though my camera battery died at the store and they even offered to go across the street and buy me a disposable camera but I told them its ok, I'll come back another day to take pics. They lowered the price of my dress for me, I told them I had seen it in Rhode Island (best friend lives there) for 300+ less but I did not like that I could not get alterations done there etc.... They spoke with the owner and lowered the dress from 1499 to 1199. I was thrilled!

I'm in love with the dress and another dress I tried on last week just got discontinued!!! No joke, I checked with the designer. It can and does happen, so if you fall in love with a dress, shop around, find the lowest price than negociate if you are not comfortable buying online, or too far away. You'll probably get some kind of break. Also, there were 3 bridezillas ahead of me at that store, I mean absoulutely rude, obnoxcious brides . So as bad as sales people can be, sometimes the customers need some manors too! I hope you all have good luck where ever you get your dress from and are treated with kindess and respect. On that note, time to post pics of the dress, though the photos do not do it justice.

Re: Bridal reflections

I know there are so many bad reviews about Bridal reflections, but I've had nothing but good experiences with them. I got my dress there and My mom is probably going to get hers there. The sales people who helped us were so nice and gave us plenty of time, and we went on a saturday afternoon. It's too bad there are a few bad eggs that ruin it for everyone else. So sorry to all those brides who had bad experiences....i wouldnt go back either if that happened to me. Good luck shopping everyone!

Yeah, then she told me they have to order the dress I loved now, because its discontinued after January!! How the hell does she know that?[/QUOTE

they told me the same discontinued story!

Re: Bridal reflections

My SIL used them last year. Although I wasn't crazy about them, they DO find the dresses much cheaper then everywhere I've seen yet. The alterations were fine as well. If you can deal with their lack of personality, you can get a good bargain! All went well with the purchases.

But they aren't customer friendly that's for sure.

Re: Bridal reflections

I went there over the weekend. I picked out our bridesmaid dresses. They were very helpful there. We went to the one in Carle Place. The only thing was that the dress I picked out this other chick and her BM were there loved the dress. My sister still had to try it on and by accident the lady hung it up right by the dressing room and the Chick swiped it! And 30 minutes later its still in their dressing room and the attendant asked them if she could have it for a moment and they said NO! So I had to go ask. I asked very nicely but eyes were rolled and they gave it to me and I gave it back in 5 minutes.

I don't know how all of these places stay in business!!! They have such rude sales people!

Re: Bridal reflections

I went their with my friend when she was trying on wedding dresses and they reacted the SAME way with her... had her try on 3 dresses.. and then shoved her out the door and said there were people waiting.. NO ONE WAS WAITING!!! I went to the one in Carle Place, and I had someone named Lisa who helped me... she was fantastic.. ended up getting my dress at RK Bridal though, but I would recommend Lisa to anyone!!!!
