I just went there to try on tiaras and veils in the Carle Place location.
First of all I had an appt at 11:30, I sat there waiting for 45 minutes before someone helped me which was annoying me bc I did have an appt.
I ended up not liking anything but this post os for any brides thinking of getting their gowns there. There were 3 diff brides picking up and/or trying on their dresses....
One brides dress was ordered wayyyyyyyyyy too big, she was really upset, the dress looked like 2 of her could fit in it
Another bride was picking up her dress and noticed a stain on her dress, so they ran to the back with it to try to get the stain out.
A 3rd bride is getting married this weekend, was there for what she thought was her final fitting. I was trying on veils right next to her and my mom notices her crying hysterical. Well it turns out they bustled her dress all wrong in the front and they forgot to add rhinestone in all the places where it was picked up, her dress was totally different from the last time she was there for a fitting.
My favorite was the last bride who went in for a fitting who was not told that everytime she has a fitting she has to pay 50% of her balance, she was a little shocked that she had to pay $1,500 before leaving.
I was like the whole time I was there, my mom was like thank god we're not dealing with them. Needless to say I'm not gonna even order my veil or tiara there.....that place left a really really bad taste in my mouth.
Oh and did I mention the seamstress who threw a gown in the backseat of her car....I assume she does the alterations off-site? Is this why dresses get stained?
Girls be on top of them if you get your dress there, make sure they make the changes you want and make sure your alterations are done on site.

I had a bad feeling when I went there and was glad I chose not to get my dress there. The salesperson was being so pushy with me and when she finally realized that I wanted to sleep on it she became short and said something like, 'Fine, then just go home!' I'm not surprised to hear about all these other incidents.

Re: Bridal Reflections
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No WAY...GET OUT!!!!
I can't believe that. Well I'm a BR Bride, NYC location and i have nothing but good things to say. They were very nice and accomodating, they were patient w/ me and one time i showed up w/o an appt and they saw me, granted there was no one waiting.
I know they uphold themselves to a high reputation and trust that they will not allow something like that to happen....But then again, i worked in the bridal industry and seen crazy things happen in the high high end salons.
One thing though I did go to the carle place location for a bm gown and i thought they were a bit disorganized and all over the place....maybe it was just that day but after your post....hmmmmm
Thanks for the tip, i will keep my eye out when my gown arrives. I know a bridal seemstress that works out of her home and she offered to alter my gown...will be doing that instead.
wow.....i'm shocked

Loved Massapequa. If you want someone who is really laid back ask for Susan! She helped me AND my mom find dresses. She was so nice...and let me take pics etc. She even gave us both 10% off.

Re: Bridal Reflections
i went to look for bridesmaides dresses at the one in carle place and i didnt like it at all ... for the money they want they should be treating you like a freakin queen! long story short, they dont fit into my budget and to be honest with you ... i have had much better service at places where the gowns are 1/4 of the price! i went to bridal world in baldwin last week ... sooo nice and helpful and they were not pushy at all. i was in there for two hours trying on both bridal gowns and my MOH trying on bridesmaid dresses ... we didnt pick anything but had some def maybes and they keep everything on file in case you deside to come back ... but again they spent all that time with me and were not pushy AT ALL!!! and even at davids bridal i had a good experience!
