Bridal Reflections

I'm going for my first appt tomorrow - first time looking at gowns. Question: I have an 11:30 appt. Are they on time there? And, how long does my appointment last? How are the people there?

Thanks.

Which one, Carle Place or Massepequa?

Carle Place

Yeah, they're pretty much on time for brides, but if you're 15-20 minutes late, I doubt they'll hold it against ya'. Gotta' remember...you're a potential sale!!!

Re: Bridal Reflections

I went to Carle Place looking for bridesmaid dresses and they were very nice. As far as the wedding dress department, as long as your looking to spend at least $1500 they are nicer. The Massepequa store carries dresses for about $800 and up. I did think that they were very nice in the bridesmaid department and they really do run on time.

Thanks! Actually, what I meant was will I have to wait around if I have an 11:30 appt. I don't want to be crowded by a ton of people trying on dresses, having to wait around.

They'll probably tell you to start looking through the gowns as soon as you get there. I would imagine they would have a dressing room ready for you, so as you find the gowns, they'll hang them in there.

When I went, I knew what gowns I wanted to try on, so they sent me right into the dressing room, but warning...there are a lot of people in the dressing rooms...from brides-to-be to moms & friends.

Yes, they are pretty punctual and they do help you out a lot. GOOD LUCK

Re: Bridal Reflections

Wait - you mean you don't get your OWN dressing room??

Re: Bridal Reflections

LOL! Yes you get your own room with a door and all , but you step out to look at the dress in the mirrors and there's lot of other girls 'running' around out there.

Re: Bridal Reflections

Oh, okay (whew); I thought you meant it was a group dressing room!

Do you think it's better to bring pantyhose and a bra or just try on w/out?

Thanks!

Re: Bridal Reflections

You shouldn't need panythose. Undies are important! (Ugh, the stories the sales girls were telling me!) You may want to bring a strapless bra with you if you have one. If not, they have them as well.
Another thing to bring...a heel that is approximately the height you intend to wear. They also have shoes there to try on, but if you have a big foot like me, they'll never fit.

I bought my dress there and they are very nice. They run pretty much on time- for my first appointment I was coming from NJ and about 10 minutes late and they were very nice about it. The salespeople are knowledgable and let you try on as many dresses as you want. I was dreading standing in front of the mirror with everyone staring but once you're in a dress it's actually kind of fun. Good luck!

I bought my gown at the Carle Place location. They were very nice and were excellent at picking dresses that I wouldn't have thought to try on, but were very flattering. Appointment ran on time (mid week, during the day) and she took extra time for us, as I bought on the same day.

Re: Bridal Reflections

I thing I will suggest you do is be very honest about your budget, and make sure they stick to it.

I went to Carle Place and told them my budget was $2000 and they kept bringing me dresses that were $3000 and over.

I was pretty annoyed when I left, though they made it up to me when I finally found my dress..
