OK it was the most DIFFICULT process to just get an appointment with them. First I had to call the store. They said they would call back to schedule an appointment. The store called back last night @ 7pm while I was out to dinner with a client. I could barely hear what they say but I told them I wanted an early appointment on October 20th. I heard them confirm but I couldn't hear the time. I call back today to confirm the time bc I couldn't hear the lady last night. There was NO RECORD of my appointment. They made me call the NYC store to make an appointment for Carle Place.
Is it me or is this a sign that this place has no idea what's going on???? I can only imagine what it's like to buy my dress there.

i can't believe that! i keep hearing mixed reviews for both of their long island stores. i went to the one in massapequa this past monday and i didn't have any problems.
i guess it depends on the day!

What is really bizarre to me is that when the lady called me at 7 pm last night, she knew my price points, the designers I liked etc. When I called Carle Place today they had no record whatsoever. It was like I had never even called!!

I went there also and had a bad experience. I had an appointment and the person who was suppose to see me was still with a client and I had to wait 30 minutes. I ask the receptionist could I look around while I wait and she had such an attitude that I bothered her so right after that I left. I was so discussed with there service. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I think it may vary from person to person. I may have been dealing with someone who was new or just clueless. I'm trying to be patient and 'zen.' LOL Thanks for listening everyone!!

I went to the salon on Carle Place on Saturday and I really did not like the service at all. They made me wait for about a half an hour, they were very pushy trying to get me to put a deposit on a dress, and then get this I finally tried on a dress that I actually liked, but I said that I would be back because I am still looking. She said that was fine and she immediately took the dress out of the room. When I went to the counter I asked for the designer of the dress and she said don't worry honey I have it on your card, so I said that I would still like to know the name of the deigner and she said Oh, I'm sorry I already put your card away. I told her you can take my card out and through it in the trash....
What was up with that

I had the same experience with them, it was so hard to get an appointment. I had to wait until someone would call me back. I definitely did not care for their customer service one bit!

THEY did the same thing when i went loook for a dress for MOB!!!!
I said I really like this can i have the designer name she was like dont worry its on a card here you can come back and look at the dress.

Not many places will let you know the designer of the dress, nor will they let you just search thru the racks of dresses.
The salons don't want to make it easy for you to go somewhere else and get the same dress.

I went to Carle Place a few weeks ago, and the first (it was my first day dress shopping) and she had asked me if I have found anything I liked yet, and I said yes, her response was 'Then why are you here' a little snotty, dont you think. I have every right to keep looking. They also took me half an hour late, and when her next appointment came, she rushed me bc she didn't want to make the girl wait.

i went there they felt i was too early to look, so they were very rude to me and couldn';t be bothered. They also starred my mother up an down and made her very uncomfortable, but the funny part about the whole story is when they found out my budget THEY WOULDNT LEAVE ME ALONE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WASNT TOO EARLY TO LOOK AND THEY GOT THE MANAGER TO PERSONALLY COME OUT AND HELP ME WITH THE DRESS!!!!! Bottom line is there nasty and they should never judge a book by its COVER!!!!!!! I ended up buying a different dress anyway that blew the one from there away!!!!!

Wow! This interesting and very informative. We shall see what they are like when I go there. I do have a dress that I really love but I wanted to try one a few more before I put my downpayment!!!

Hmmm....I think every bridal store has it's issues, I know because I have been to quite a few (shopping for my dress and for my best friends) I did buy my dress from BR in Carle Place, and found it to be a pleasant experience (I prefer not to go through racks, and to have a bit more personal service) but so far when it comes to alterations...I am not so impressed. I have had 2 fittings and the last one I was SOOOOO MAD. They made my top so tight that I had top overflow and my waist so lose that it looked like I had no curves, I demanded that they let out the top, so it fits correctly (they have to take it out 3 inches!!!) and the take in the waist so it fits correctly (2 inches to be taken in) that way I look like I have some curves (which I do) Aside from that, my shopping experience was great... I hope that my 3 (and hopfully final) fitting goes better... I will certainly be posting about it
